In Fatal Frame 2 Remake, the Sae Kurosawa side quest has you roaming around the area to find clues and take photos to get the Broken Fluorite spirit stone fragments. In this guide, we’ve outlined everything you need to know in order to complete the quest as efficiently as possible.
How Find the First Stone Fragment and Butterfly Diary 5
In the Sae Kurosawa side quest, while you leave the Kurosawa cell, you’ll need to take a photo of the Sae found just opposite your cell and pick up the stone from there. Search the opposite cell after shooting the photo and you’ll find a fragment of the Broken Fluorite stone on the floor. Since the Broken Fluorite stone is a fragment, you’ll need to find the other half to form a whole Spirit Stone.
Next, head over to the second Floor of the Kurosawa Guest Room. Use your Camera Obscura to take photos of various areas in the doll room until you find Sae practicing near the tiered doll display. This completes your photo of the Sae twins.
Next, you need to collect the diary from the doll room for which you’ll need to go past the Triple Diamond Door that’s on the left side of the doll display. If you past the door, you’ll easily find the Butterfly Diary 5.
How to Find the Second Door Fragment
To find the second fragment, you’ll need to go to the Kurosawa House Main Hall and start shooting photos of the area until you find the Downcast Woman. Once you’ve clicked the photo, you’ll find the second part of the Spirit Stone on the floor where there’s blood. This will help you get the stone whole Broken Fluorite spirit stone and complete the quest.
