To obtain the 8-Bit Warrior achievement in High on Life 2, you must complete a brief post-game task that requires accessing a specific item that becomes accessible after finishing the main story. In this guide, we have outlined everything you need to know to find the item and what action you need to take to obtain the achievement; there are no optional tasks or side quests that will need to be completed.

When the 8-Bit Warrior Achievement Becomes Available

To earn the 8-Bit Warrior trophy/achievement, you must finish the game’s main story and beat Nipulon. After finishing the boss battle, you will return to the hallways, cross Nipulon from the bounty board, and hear the post-mission dialogue (including Pseudo). After this happens, go up in the elevator to your room.

Finding the Damaged Game Cartridge & Unlocking the Achievement

At some point after finishing your game, a certain item shows up in your room that was not previously there. On the top of your television set is a game cartridge that, while you will eventually have access to it, has been damaged and will not be available for use until after completing the main story.

With the damaged cartridge in your inventory, take the elevator back down and head to the arcade floor. Locate the Bounty Hunters arcade machine, insert the cartridge, and load into the game. Wait for the save icon to appear, and the 8-Bit Warrior achievement/trophy should unlock successfully.
