Lost Quotes is a Wandering Tale in Where Winds Meet, where the player is required to restore three volumes of Master Miaoshan’s Quotes for the NPC Huijing in the Bodhi Sea region. Like most Wandering Tales, this quest also has no quest markers, so the player has to make do with environmental hints.
This walkthrough will break down where Huijing can be found, how his clues should be deciphered, and the precise locations of each of the three Lost Quotes.
How to Start Lost Quotes
Travel to the indicated location in the Bodhi Sea to find Huijing, who is pacing beside a large structure. Talk to Huijing to learn that he is looking for three of Master Miaoshan’s Quotes that are missing.
“Maybe greedy people found them. Maybe thieves stole them. Or perhaps they’re somewhere Buddha wanted.”
These three lines specifically relate to the places where every book is located:
- One of the Muganauts’ sponsors was a greedy person who
- One is stolen by thieves
- One lies in a holy or sacred place
Lost Quotes Locations
Lost Quotes Volume 1 (The Sacred Place)
Begin from the Bloomveil Monastery Outpost and proceed southwest until you encounter a lone standing stone stele in a clearing. You can then interact with the stele to decipher the inscription that reads:
“Bow with sincerity, and look at the sun at Wu hour.”
To unlock the quote:
- Use the clock inside the game and set the time to Wu hour
- Carry out the Bow action twice on the green mat near the stele
If done correctly, a treasure box situated at the base of the stele will open, which holds Miaoshan’s Quotes Volume 1.
Lost Quotes Volume 2 (The Greedy Person)
From the Monastery Outpost of the Bloomveil Monastery, move directly north. A little way to the left of the teleport stone, there’s an NPC named Wang Er, right at the edge of the cliff.
Use Celestial Seize on Wang Er to steal Quotes Volume 2 from him. This does not involve any fighting.
Lost Quotes Volume 3 (The Thieves)
Go to the indicated area to find a ground-level entrance into an underground cave area where you will find guards of the Aureate Pavilion.
Eliminate all enemies in this cave, as well as the Aureate Commander. After battle:
- Search for a wooden box near a campfire
- The box is placed immediately to the right of where the commander was fought.
This box contains Miaoshan’s Quotes Volume 3.
