One of the early chances to earn that goodwill comes through the A Beast of Lore quest – a request from Athr Iorgwyn that can feel confusing at first glance.

How the A Beast of Lore Quest Works
When the quest appears, Athr Iorgwyn asks for a legendary creature to prove your worth. The game doesn’t give you many clues, and since mythical beasts aren’t exactly roaming Juliana, the request can seem impossible.
In truth, what he is seeking is the Brazen Bull, a unique artifact you can come across while clearing ruins on Juliana.
Where to find the Brazen Bull
The Brazen Bull is a guaranteed quest item that comes from excavating the ruined structures scattered across Juliana. The ruins you’re looking for are:
- Northeast side of the island,
- Near the base of the mountains,
- Close to the river.
These ruins crop up fairly early as you start expanding your settlement. Clearing them takes time and resources, but each cleared site refunds a portion of materials and may yield relics, one of them being the Brazen Bull.
You might also find other historical artifacts while digging. Store them securely, as many later quests call for them.
How to Deliver the Brazen Bull to Athr Iorgwyn
Once you’ve got the Brazen Bull, finishing the quest is easy:
- Move the Brazen Bull to one of your ships.
- Sail to the lighthouse at Athr Iorgwyn, in Albion territory.
- Choose the lighthouse and select the offer to the beast.
- The Brazen Bull is removed from your inventory, and your standing with the “king” improves.
- This small amount of dialogue boosts your relationship with Athr Iorgwyn and begins to open the door to smoother diplomacy later.
