Red Soldier Ant Eggs, also known as Soldier Ant Eggs, are much harder to farm. You require these eggs if you’re planning on hatching your own mount, a strong riding, fighting, and gathering companion. That being said, they’re deep in an ant nest, well guarded by Red Soldier Ants, and in a specific area of the map.
You’ll be able to obtain these eggs successfully in the Hatchery Anthill: South Entrance, which is a hostile zone that you need to prepare for. You’re strongly recommended to prepare armor and weapons, carry Fiber Bandages, and have maximum hunger and thirst levels before even attempting to collect one. You’ll be welcomed by around hostile enemies, and it will be difficult to get out inside.
Finding the Anthill
When you reach Hatchery Anthill, begin heading downwards. You will need to battle a couple of Red Soldier Ants along the way. You will soon reach a very large computer terminal. Head left here and follow the wire route in the tunnels until you reach a second computer. Head left, then right, then left to reach a small building-like structure in the hill.
This room contains an inaccessible egg enclosed behind glass, which cannot be collected. Continue through the opposite door and move deeper into the cave system. Eventually, you’ll come across a small cluster of Red Soldier Ant Eggs that can be picked up.
Be careful that you can only hold one egg with you, and carrying it in your hand prevents you from equipping weapons or tools. Be careful that the ants around you will also become hostile and attack you as you attempt to make a run for it with the egg. Make sure that your route is clear or you have some form of defense as you make your escape.
