Explore the wonderful land of Alefgard, and discover the famous instrument – the Lyre of Ire. Legend has it that this legendary lyre can summon powerful foes to you. A treasured possession of a wandering bard named Galen, the lyre awaits you, hidden away in the secluded coastal home where Galen lives, and it’s up to you to open that place up. This guide will tell you where to find the Lyre of Ire and how to use it.
Lyre Of Ire Location
The Lyre of Ire is a rare musical instrument that can only be found in Alefgard, a dark and mysterious world. It is located inside Galen’s House. You can find Galen, the traveling musician, in the town of Cantlin. However, he doesn’t have his special lyre with him. It seems that playing the lyre of Ire attracts monsters, so he left it at home with his parents. While talking to Galen can add more depth to the story, it’s not essential to obtain the Lyre of Ire.
You can find the lyre of Ire in his house without interacting with him. Unfortunately, no one knows the exact location of this small village. You’ll have to explore the area on your own. To find Galen’s House, start by heading northwest from Tantegel to Talontear Tunnel. This is the midpoint. Continue in this direction until you reach the coast. Galen’s House is located right by the shoreline.
Where to find Lyre of Ire
On the left side of the house, you’ll find a door that leads outside. Go through it, and you’ll be on the side of the house. There, you’ll see some stairs leading to the cellar. Head down to the stairs to explore Galen’s cellar and take whatever you find.
Lyre Of Ire in Dragon Quest 3 Remake
Playing the Lyre of Ire on the world map will instantly summon monsters to fight. While this was a convenient way to level up characters in the past, it’s less useful now with the introduction of the Monster Wrangler. The Monster Wrangler’s Whistle ability serves the same purpose. However, many players will still want to collect the Lyre of Ire for the sake of completion. Keep in mind that the Lyre of Ire only works in areas where monsters usually appear. It won’t summon monsters in towns or other peaceful places.
