In Dock Town, you’ll find the quest “The Smuggled Relic Case,” and in Treviso, there’s “Sea of Blood.” Both are main story quests in Dragon Age: The Veilguard that you can start after finishing “The Singing Blade.” Once you speak to Neve, you’ll receive the “Into the Crossroads” quest along with “Sea of Blood” and “The Smuggled Relic Case.” In this article, we will discuss weather you should go to Dock Town or Treviso first in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Should you go to Dock Town or Treviso first in Dragon Age
Once you get to the Crossroads filled with eluvian portals, you’ll need to decide whether to start the “Sea of Blood” quest in Treviso or the “Smuggled Relic Case” in Dock Town in Dragon Age Veilguard. Just to clarify, it doesn’t really matter which one you choose to tackle first in the Into the Crossroads quest; you’ll end up visiting both areas, and your choice won’t have any significant consequences. That said, going to Treviso first is recommended as the better option. This way, you can unlock Lucanis as a companion right away, and visiting Dock Town afterward connects nicely with the main quest and allows you to unlock another companion in Dragon Age Veilguard.
Make sure to finish all side quests and activities in Treviso and Dock Town before diving into the “A Warden’s Best Friend” quest. Once you complete that quest and unlock the next companion, you’ll then have to choose between Minrathous or Treviso in Dragon Age Veilguard. This choice can lead to side quests being canceled or failed automatically, meaning you won’t be able to complete them later.
Choosing between Dragon Age’s Veilguard Treviso and Dock Town really comes down to your personal preference and won’t drastically change the game’s outcome. Heading to Treviso first is generally the more advantageous choice. This path allows you to quickly unlock Lucanis as a companion. Remember to complete all side quests and activities in both locations before diving into the “A Warden’s Best Friend” quest, as this will help you avoid missing out on important content. No matter which route you choose, you’ll have the opportunity to explore both areas.
Unlock Lucanis After Treviso in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Lucanis, known as the Demon of Vyrantium, is an assassin and human rogue from the Antivan Crows faction. He excels in melee combat and comes with five skills: Abominate, which inflicts necrotic damage, is especially effective against barriers and can knock enemies down; Adrenaline Rush, which boosts your damage output; Eviscerate, which deals significant necrotic damage, more so if the enemy is below half health, and triggers an explosion if the enemy is Overwhelmed; Soothing Potion, a healing ability; and Debilitate, which deals substantial necrotic damage, causes Stagger, and applies the Sundered effect. Additionally, Lucanis has a unique connection with the demon Spite, who resides in his mind and grants the ability to summon spectral platforms from the Fade.
