Spectre Divide, a 3v3 tactical shooter, is free to play right now on Steam. The game has garnered quite a vast player base, but as with all multiplayer games, there are some significant issues that the devs are working diligently to fix. Since the game’s launch yesterday, 03 September, there have been reports of matchmaking errors and long login queues.
A few minutes ago, the game servers encountered significant issues, with many players reporting the Spectre Divide Online Service Error. The error message reads, “Online Service Error: Unable to create party joins request.”
No fault of your own causes the error as the game servers appear to be down, not entirely, but specific servers do not seem to be performing as usual. A similar issue occurred yesterday, and the devs said, “Someone left an old prototype Ryker Sentry in the data center. It took a while to extract it without hurting anyone. We’re also pausing some Spectre Point refunds until later today to ensure everything is in order. Please don’t fret; you will be made whole!”
A few minutes ago, the devs acknowledged the game’s current issue and said, “We’re investigating an issue where some players cannot access the game. Stay tuned for updates.”
Fix Spectre Divide Online Service Error
While the server appears to be the issue for this circumstance, the Spectre Divide online service error can emerge in various other scenarios. Here are some things you can try to fix the problem.
- Verify the integrity of the game files. This issue can occur if there is a new update or the files on your PC are corrupted.
- Disable Antivirus or Firewall—If your antivirus or firewall, including the Windows default, is preventing the game’s process from connecting to the server, you may encounter this issue. If disabling the firewall does not work, set an exception for the game in the firewall/antivirus.
- Check your internet connection. An issue with the internet will prevent the client from connecting to the servers and lead to the Spectre Divide Online Service Error.
