One of Kay’s earlier missions in Star Wars Outlaws involved tracking down the source of counterfeit credits infiltrating Mirogana’s marketplaces. The Pykes are concerned about possible Imperial meddling in the area and are keen to see this threat removed.
This may seem like a simple mission, but things can get confusing if you don’t know what to look for. If getting lost in Mirogana frustrates you, this walkthrough will surely get you through it.
Finding the Market Vendor
Trade with Hen Puon
Once you’ve gained the Pykes’ trust, go to their Mirogana district. You’ll have full access now, and the Pykes will be friendlier. Find a Pyke sitting outside to the left of the Sabacc table, and speak with him to begin the Counterfeit Credits side quest. The Pyke will propose visiting the Market District to track down who prints the false currency circulating in the town. Barring a few notable exceptions, there aren’t any individual conversations to have or overheard conversations that give a clear, linear path to the perpetrator.
Instead, go to Hen Puon’s stall in the northeast corner of the district and try to sell him an item. The nature of the item is irrelevant. If you don’t have anything to sell, do other tasks and return with a valuable item.
You’ll find they’re forged if you try to sell merchandise to Hen Puon. He’ll tell you he got these fake credits from a vendor at the Soup Kitchen in the Crimson Dawn district to the north.
Exploring the Soup Kitchen
Sneak into the Crimson Dawn District
While infiltrating the Crimson Dawn District with a good reputation is more accessible, it still requires stealth. If Crimson Dawn trusts you, you can enter their district and go up to the raised area in the north. Beyond that, it’s off-limits.
Climb the crates on the right and circle the patrol area counterclockwise. Three guards are on your left, facing away, and two are patrolling slowly to the right. The latter are the only ones you need to worry about, but you can easily avoid them by waiting for them to pass.
Once the area is safe, have Nix hold the lever that controls the fan and quickly slip through when the blades stop.
You’ll discover the ladder leading to the Crimson Dawn’s storage room inside the tunnel.
Search the box across from the vault door to find the counterfeit credits.
Warn Crimson Dawn
Eleera expressed her gratitude and indicated they would allow the situation to calm down. This choice significantly increased Kay’s reputation with Crimson Dawn.
Tell the Pykes
The Pyke thanked Kay and assured them they would cease the counterfeit credit operation. This choice resulted in a slight increase in Kay’s reputation with the Pyke Syndicate and a reward of 250 credits.
Should you alert the Crimson Dawn or inform the Pykes about the Counterfeit Credits?
Your decision will mainly affect which faction you want to side with and increase your reputation. Reputation is critical in the game, as it determines the missions you’ll receive from each faction.
We suggest informing Eleera about the Counterfeit Credits. The reputation boost is significant, and if you have a low standing with Crimson Dawn, it can help improve your relationship. Since you need a good standing with the Pykes to get this mission, not informing them won’t significantly impact your reputation.
