Silent Hill is a popular survival series that has a recent installment, Silent Hill: The Short Message on January 31, 2024. Since it was released, players have jumped into the game to explore the entire story, but the process requires them to solve puzzles, complete activities, and explore new areas. Another thing that players need to do to unfold the entire story is to pick up all notes and newspaper cuttings. If you are unaware of their locations, this guide will help you with it.
Where to Find All Interactables in Silent Hill: The Short Message?
The game has numerous interactables scattered throughout the game. The game has three chapters and as they progress, they will get paintings, notes, and other things to interact with. Though these things don’t seem important, they hold a different meaning sometimes. So, below we will try to help you with all the interactable locations in the game:
Chapter 1:
- Plans to Rebuild Kettenstadt will be found on a table that you will find after you go past the model building and reach the location where there is a painting on the wall.
- Plans to Rebuild Kettenstadt Failed a 2nd Time will be found at the exit of the room, near the stack of boxes.
- Information Session Flyer will be found when you are about to leave the office and step in the corridor. The flyer will be on the wall left side.
- About Graffiti Artist C.B. will be found inside Room 202. It will be on a table.
- Data Report on Cases of Neglect will be found at the end of the corridor, inside the room full of notes. After the cutscene ends, you will see the note on the table.
- Infamous Suicide Spot can be found after your first chase. You will enter a room with newspaper articles. There will be another door on the left behind that will take you to a painting that you can interact with.
Chapter 2:
- The Younger Generation and Trauma: A Report can be found inside room number 202. The note will be found on a table.
- The Glorification of Death in Japanese Culture can be found in room 206. Go to the fridge and you will see the book on the table next to the fridge.
- Belief in the Witch of Kettenstadt can be foundin room 206.Enter the door at the back side of the room and you will reach a room with a Shrine. There will be a book to interact with.
- University Orientation can be found in the bathroom of room number 207.
- College Prep Diary: October 2020 to November 2020 can be found if youuse the left side door of 207 and get the diary from the table next to the bed.
- College Prep Diary: August 2021 to September 2021 will be found after you interact with the fridge in 207. Interact with it and you will get the diary in the next room.
- News Articles on Suicides is located in the same room as the previous diary. It will be found on the boxes.
- Hate-filled Notebook can be foundinside the Trash room.
- Warning Sign will be foundinside the room where you will find the stairs to get to the top of the building.
- Maya’s Diary will be found in the studio after you are chased back to this location for the first time.
- The Witch Hunt will be found inside the library, on the shelf.
- Maya’s Letter will be found inside Maya’s Locker which you must open by solving the puzzle.
Chapter 3:
- Maya’s Diary 2 will be foundas soon as the chapter starts and you wake up. Look at the garbage pile to find the diary on the top.
- The Silent Hill Phenomenon will be found after you interact with the fridge that says, “Don’t you dare go outside.” The newspaper will be found at the end of the corridor.
- Diary of a Single Mother: December 2011 will be found on the second loop. Go to the kitchen and next to the pizza box you will find the note.
- Diary of a Single Mother: May to July 2012 will be found in the third loop apartment, next to the pizza.
- Diary of a Single Mother: February 2012 will be found during the second loop, on the table in the kitchen.
- Diary of a Single Mother: March to April 2012, this will be found in the second loop apartment, inside the bedroom on the table with the mirror.
- Notice from Child Welfare Center will be found after you have interacted with the “don’t you dare go outside” fridge and enter the bedroom. The letter will be on the bed.
- News Article on Child Death by Neglect will be found during the final loop.
- Maya’s Diary 3 will be found in Maya’s Studio.
- Popular Artist Found Dead, Cause Unknown will be found in Maya Studio, on a table.
