There isn’t a lot of information yet on where the Rayhound can be located, but they can be found around rocky terrains. Their main element is Electric, so they would probably stay as far away from grass and water terrains. They are listed as No. 052 in the Paldeck, and their description is as follows:

“At full speed, it could be mistaken for a bolt of lightning. If two Rayhounds collide, the sound is like that of a powerful thunderclap”. 

This could be a clear indicator of where you can find Rayhounds in the overworld, as dueling Rayhounds sound like distant rumbling thunder. It is also known that Rayhounds work in packs, so you might encounter several of them in one area.

According to the official Palworld YouTube feature for the Rayhound, it is shown that they can be used to power up electric devices on your base. So besides taking them for battle, they can also be used to supply electricity when needed
