To find the Festering Cove and locate the Kuo-Toa, make your way to the Underdark area first. You can get here through the Goblin Camp, Hag’s Lair, or even through the Zhentarim Hideout. From there, make your way to the Selunite Outpost and then go west. You will know you have reached the right place when you are attacked by a group of hostile Drows and their leader. You can defeat or get past them and keep making your way westwards.
Once you reach the end of the road, head south and climb down the knotted roots hanging off the cliffside. Make your way to the platform below, then find some cragged rocks you can use to climb further down. You have to keep climbing down to the platforms below till you can spot some red glowing rocks at a distance. Further below this is a ravine you can enter using the bouncing mushrooms. Keep climbing down till you reach the entrance of the Festering Cove, then you can enter through here to find the Kuo-Toa people.
