Does Starfield’s Kid Stuff trait merit its cost?
In Starfield, the Kid Stuff trait is highly recommended due to the frequent occurrence of rare and valuable items bestowed to you by your parents. You’ll receive these during the main adventure, and they are:
- The Meatloaf Recipe from Grandpa
- Gran-Gran’s Helmet, as well as Spacesuit
- The High Velocity, Large Magazine Pistol of Sir Livingstone
- Wanderwall Spacecraft
- When you see your parents, get yourself a High School Backpack with extra capacity from your old room.
The major catch is that you must give your parents 2% of your weekly Credits. It will be deducted mechanically at a flat rate of 2%, which means it will grow as your Credit balance does.However, if you want to cease contributing financially to your parents, you can eliminate the Kid Stuff trait by talking with your Dad anytime. Choose the ‘Remove Kid Stuff trait,’ and you’ll find yourself saying, “I’m not sure if I can keep sending money back home.”
If you decide to remove all traces of your childhood by selecting the ‘Remove Kid Stuff permanently’ option, please note that this will result in your parents relocating and you losing contact with them. Where in Starfield do your Parents Live and the Location of Pioneer Tower?
The city of New Atlantis on the planet Jemison in the Alpha Centauri system is where you’ll locate the parents in Starfield. The Pioneer Tower apartments may be found in the Residential District, which can be quickly reached through fast travel or the NAT transport network.
If you take the NAT tram and get off in the Residential District, you can find Pioneer Tower by turning right.Go straight through the lobby and into the lift when you get there. Use the keypad to enter the building and locate your parents’ apartment on the “Family Apartments” floor. If you can’t find it, finish the “One Small Step” quest to unlock a Misc goal that will give you a waypoint. Please be aware that the top floor of Pioneer Tower is only possible via a lift if you have the Kid Stuff traits.
