The earliest you can get a bicycle is by completing a Trader mission. You can start picking up these mission types early in the game, and after completing all the Tier 1 tasks, you can check what rewards you would want to get. If you see the bicycle in the rewards list, be sure to pick that. If you don’t want a bicycle this way, you can always craft it. Once you reach Tier 1 under Vehicles in the Crafting menu, you can unlock the bicycle recipe. You can get Vehicle Adventure Skill Points by reading Vehicle Adventures magazines and using the skill points to unlock the recipes
You would also need a workbench to craft a bicycle. For that, read up on Forge Ahead Skill Magazines and get skill points for the Workstation. At Tier 2, you can unlock the Workbench. Now, you need to gather the necessary materials to craft the bicycle, which is as follows.
Bicycle Chassis
- 7x Forged Iron
- 3x Mechanical Parts
- 3x Duct Tape
- 3x Leather
- 3x Spring
Bicycle Handlebars
- 3x Duct Tape
- 3x Leather
- 1x Mechanical Parts
- 9x Short Iron Pipe
- 3x Spring
Wheel
Per wheel requires the following (requirement is 2 wheels)
- 3x Forged Iron
- 24x Scrap Polymers
- 2x Oil
- 15x Coal
- 1x Bottle of Acid
Craft all the above parts in the workbench, then combine all the parts to get a bicycle. To use a bicycle, add it to your hotbar, then use the right mouse button to add the bike to the ground. You need to look down at the ground for the bike to appear. After placing it down, press E or the activation key to hop on and move using the arrow keys. Shift will increase the speed of your bike but will drain stamina in the process
