There’s a lot that Kay Vess can learn from the experts in Star Wars Outlaws, but some skills are more helpful than others. Some make the skills one already possesses better, while others simply offer more freedom. All will help to make the best outlaw one can be and make a name for oneself.
In Star Wars Outlaws, new skills are learned differently than in other games. You have to find experts who could teach you if they think you are good enough for it. To learn any skill, you have to play some mini-games and then complete some challenges. This is the way you win the trust of the experts and learn from them.
7. Speed Boost
Speed Boost will grant you a very high speed for your speeder for a short period of time and is very handy on any planet, even to outrun some enemies.
To get Speed Boost, you will have to find a professional called The Mechanic. You will be allowed to encounter this character when you complete the main quest called New Tricks. Once you interact with him, you will know how to get Speed Boost and other cool upgrades on your speeder.
6. Lightfooted
Aila has some really good upgrades, like the Slicer. One of the most helpful ones is Lightfooted. This makes you walk and run much quieter, so it’s easier to sneak around and do heists without being noticed. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to be sneaky.
It’s exciting to run through fields with five enemies chasing you, but now you can have even more fun by sneaking around without being seen. To unlock this ability, you need to:
- Complete a Smuggler contract.
- Take down an Imperial Officer.
- Pick three different locks.
5. Smoke Bomb
Star Wars Outlaws really emphasizes stealth. Some missions can only be completed by being sneaky. That’s why Smoke Bombs are really important to get early on.
Smoke Bombs let you create a cloud of smoke that hides you from enemies. This can be a lifesaver if you’re surrounded and need to escape.
Smoke Bombs are part of the skills you learn from The Mechanic. To unlock them, you need:
- Smoke Bomb Compressor: This special part can only be found in the northern Boulder Forest on Toshara. To get it, you’ll need to use your blaster to open doors and avoid strong winds.
- Polycarbonate: This is a common material you can buy or find.
- Mg-2 Power Exceeder: This specialized speeder part can be found at special merchant shops called Faction Stock in Mirogana. You need to have a good reputation with the syndicate they’re connected to to buy from them.
4. Electro-Shock Prod
The Electro-Shock Prod makes your stealth takedowns stronger, so you can take down elite enemies. This can make it easier to explore dangerous areas without having to fight stronger enemies head-on. If you can make your enemies vulnerable, it’s easier to defeat them.
Temmin’s Ion Smoke Bomb is a handy ability. It can turn defensive weapons into ones that disable devices and droids. This is especially helpful when dealing with Imperial traps. Of course, having a good reputation with syndicates is also very important.
To unlock this ability, you need:
- 1 NL-02 Charge Emitter
- 1 Chalcopyrite
- 15 Ion Cells
3. Sneaky Trap
The best way to handle encounters in Outlaws is to be sneaky. Once you’ve been spotted, it’s almost impossible to hide. Nix has an ability called Sneaky Trap that can tamper with alarms and hurt anyone who tries to trigger them. To unlock this ability, you must give Nix seven different commands and successfully hack three devices in three or less tries.
2. Feelers Out
Rooster has a compelling upgrade for Nix that you should get as soon as possible. Feelers Out makes Nix’s senses twice as strong, so you can see enemies and things you can interact with from further away. To unlock this, you need to command Nix to bring you a weapon, grenade, and bacta vial once each, complete a thief contract without being spotted, and make Nix jealous by petting another animal in front of him.
1. The More
Kay isn’t a Jedi, but her Adrenaline Rush ability makes her shoot really well. At first, you can only mark one target, but after completing Quint’s mission, you can mark two more. If you want to be able to mark even more, you need to defeat four enemies in a single Adrenaline Rush three times and get 15 headshots.
To find the Star Wars Outlaws experts, you’ll need to search every corner of the five Star Wars Outlaws planets, including the famous Tatooine. Your friends can help, but some people won’t be nice, so you’ll have to work hard to convince members of the different Star Wars Outlaws gangs to help you.
