Zodiac Puzzle Solution for Void Sword Upgrade in Black Ops 6 Zombies

The Zodiac and Element Puzzle in Citadelle des Morts is a challenging but rewarding step to upgrading the Bastard Sword into the formidable Balmung: Raven’s Shadow. To unlock it, players must explore the map, collect specific items, and solve a puzzle involving the twelve Zodiac signs and the four classical elements. Successfully matching the symbols opens dark aether portals, leading to the upgraded weapon.

Balmung: Bastard Sword in Citadelle Des Morts

The Bastard Sword is a powerful weapon, which cuts through the undead easily. It’s perfect for blocking attacks and countering enemies, but its strength really lies in its four magical forms. Each has a special attack that only gets stronger as it’s used. One of them is Balmung: Raven’s Shadow, sending zombies to the Aetherial chasm while opening up a localized tear in space, disturbing the nearby enemies. 

How to Get the Balmung: Bastard Sword in Citadelle Des Morts

Begin your journey on the Citadelle des Morts map by locating and firing the Lion Cannon, following the orange markers to blast open a new path. Next, head to the Oubliette Room in the Dungeons to find a blue box with three locks. Shoot them off to open it, but be ready to face a Doppelghast zombie. Defeat it to collect the Blood Aetherium Crystal it drops. Use the crystal to activate the Pack-a-Punch machine by placing it on the red portal inside the box. 

Fight through waves of zombies and survive until Round 8, then head to the area with four Knight statues. Defeat all the zombies there until a Helmet Zombie appears. Target its body, as its head is immune to damage, and take it down. Once defeated, collect the stamp it drops and present it to one of the four Knight statues marked with a Raven symbol to claim the powerful Bastard Sword.

Start by heading to the Alchemical Lab and picking up an item from a shelf or table—this could be a rock, skulls, or horns. Next, go to the Tavern Cellar and place both the Bastard Sword and the item you collected into the wall to activate the puzzle. You’ll encounter a Zodiac and Element puzzle with 12 Zodiac symbols and 4 alchemy elements. Solve it by matching the symbols correctly to open a dark aether portal.

Once the portal opens, glowing balls will appear. Carefully pull them into the portal to close it, but avoid touching them, as they will damage you and deplete your health. Repeat this process for three portals: one in the Tavern basement, one on the ground floor, and one near the pool table on the top floor. After successfully closing all three portals, return to the symbol-matching device, interact with it, and claim your upgraded Balmung sword as your reward.
