Playing Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, you might find a secret entrance inside a nearby mine close to the Rebel Camp. Talking to it gives a cryptic instruction: “Heed the lessons of the Primordial God.” This may be something to solve, ritualize on, or do an optional side quest, but really, the answer is not nearly so complicated. Opening this door is not necessary from a technical standpoint to advance the story, but it is an extremely convenient shortcut through important areas—i.e., crossing the zone much more conveniently in the future.
What Does It Mean to ‘Heed the Teachings’?

Far from what the mysterious message suggests, you will not have to grab a spell, slay an exclusive boss, or do a grand NPC mission. The phrase “heed the teachings” is just a hint to enter the gate from the other side. Opening the gate at the back will be automatically completing the requirement and opening the gate and achieving the mission.
This slice serves to link the Rebel Camp and the Cloudspire Outskirts, more convenient to navigate through, and gives faster access to critical points—convenient as can be when preparing for epic battles.
Recommended Preparation
It is advisable to kill General of the North – Ai Nengqi, a boss who is near the Rebel Camp, before unlocking the gate. The back entrance of the gate is just behind the unlocked zone after killing him, and killing him will make the passage safer and easier.
How to Reach the Gate’s Back Entrance

Start at the Rebel Camp Shrine. Go down the ladder right beside it. When you reach the bottom, turn left and continue in a forward direction until you reach two enemies—approach and handle them accordingly. A little ahead of them, you will have a three-way split in the path. Take down the slightly forward and right path.
You will be on the right track if you pass through a cooking pot on your left side.
Shortly after, the path divides again. Take the left path and continue through a gate into the new area. Stay on the right while walking ahead. You should notice a red trail leading downhill and to the right—it’s your landmark clue. Follow it closely, and you will find yourself shortly in a fenced-in narrow alcove with a wood fence.
To your right stands the rear of the Primordial Deity gate, which is identified by the yellow vertical stripe going through it. Talk to this part of the gate to trigger a short animation, which will open the gate.
Opening the Shortcut
Prior to departure, don’t forget to open the wooden fence gate in the alcove, too. This action will create a handy shortcut that leads directly to the Cloudspire Outskirts Shrine. Although extra, this shortcut comes in very useful for traversing the region and getting ready for future boss battles.
The Primordial Deity gate may seem mysterious at first, but its answer is surprisingly simple. By simply walking around and opening it in the back, players will not only complete this little task but also access portions of importance within the game more quickly. In Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, knowledge of the world typically rests beyond what is literally in front of your nose—and this door is the perfect illustration of that philosphical approach.
