Tearless Farewell is part of the main steps in Tier III of the One Leaf, One Life event questline. In concept, your mission here is easy: find a lost Blush (Rouge) for Zhong Wenping. The problem in reality, though, is that usually players can’t find either the NPCs, the item, or even the correct place in Kaifeng.
This guide details all that you need to know to clear this stage without having to run around in circles.

Starting the Tearless Farewell Quest
Go to South Gate Avenue in Kaifeng and head to the Pier on the southwest side. You’ll overhear two women gossiping about Zhong Wenping, accusing him of having an affair. They’ll even claim they found “proof” hidden at his stall. Remember that.
Zhong Wenping himself is sitting at a stall just across the staircase nearby, mourning his late wife, Zhou Juan. When speaking with him, you have an opportunity to either ask him questions or accuse him of wrongdoing. Either way, he claims he is innocent of the crimes. Mention the Blush, and he’ll say it was his wife’s; recovering it is all the more important now.

Where to Find the Blush
The Blush wasn’t “found” in his stall; one of the two women pocketed it.
Here’s the quick way to spot and recover it:

| 1 | Use Windsense (V) to see which woman has the Blush. It’s the one on the left. |
| 2 | Use Celestial Seize to lift the item from her pocket. Make sure you aren’t spotted. |
| 3 | Once you’ve got the Blush, head back to Zhong Wenping. |
Give the Blush to Zhong Wenping, and a short scene will play out. Afterwards, talk to him again at his stand.

Completing Tearless Farewell
Speak with Zhong Wenping several times, allowing the conversation to conclude naturally. Once the dialogue options appear:
- First, choose “Listen to him” so that he may speak freely.
- Next time, when given an opportunity, choose “Console” to help him.
This last decision concludes the Tearless Farewell quest. Zhong Wenping will thank you deeply, and you will be prepared to continue the rest of the One Leaf, One Life storyline.
