Road to Redemption is a Wandering Tale in Where Winds Meet and occurs in the area of Halo Peak in Qinghe. As with most of the other Wandering Tales in the game, there are no quest markers, making it important to understand where and what to look for.
A breakdown of the quest activation and the reward that would be earned at the end of the quest is presented below.
Starting “Road to Redemption”
To start, go to Halo Peak in the area of Qinghe. You are searching for a monk named Daohui, who is quietly chanting scriptures in front of a small statue of a Buddha that is leaning against a mountainside.
During your conversation with him, Daohui explains that he tries to atone for the sins which were connected with the Pagoda of Karmaful Karma within the Bodhi Sea. He does not assign you any task directly. However, his dialogue helps you to look for something called the Illegible Final Note. This is what you will look for next.
Where to Find the Illegible Final Note
The Illegible Final Note can be found in Yongfu Temple, in the Bodhi Sea area, which lies directly east of Halo Peak. Yongfu Temple is not marked on the map, so it does take some doing to get there.
Here’s what to know before going out:
- Yongfu Temple has no map symbol, a hidden location
- You can teleport there if you have completed the Bodhi Sea Campaign Quest.
- Otherwise, you will have to navigate across the swamp on wooden bridges.
Upon entering the Yongfu Temple, you will approach a large drum in the centre. Then:
- Turn around and use Wind Sense
- To the temple entrance
- Inspect steps immediately beneath the doorway
The Illegible Final Note lies on the ground near the temple entrance. If it’s not easy to spot, there are Assist Signposts just outside the temple where the note is placed side by side with them.

Complete the Quest & Rewards
Pick up the Illegible Final Note and then return to Daohui in the Halo Peak. Give it to Daohui. This will finish the Road to Redemption Wandering Tale.
