Her Legacy is one of the more charming Encounter quests in Where Winds Meet, as it sends you on a quiet treasure hunt across Qinghe, following a chain of cryptic clues left behind by a mysterious “Heroine.” Each clue leads to a new location, a new NPC, and eventually the truth behind her story.

How to Start the Her Legacy Quest
You can start Her Legacy in Heaven’s Pier after you complete Chapter One: Heaven Has No Pier. Head back to the pier and approach the marked spot afterwards for the encounter to trigger automatically.
Look at the wine jar-filled shelves near the marker. The first treasure map is nestled amongst them.
Treasure Map Clue #1
The first clue leads to a small waterfall west of Heaven’s Pier, just where the river comes to an end. Upon arrival, you will see an Old Angler fishing by the water.
Talk to him and participate in his fishing challenge. You’ll receive the second treasure map by winning this mini-game.
Treasure Map Clue #2
This map leads you to General’s Shrine, the early-game area where you participated in the duel arena. Across the arena, there is a tall structure where Fu Lushou and Zhao Dali usually hang around.
Alongside that structure, you will see some pots stacked against the wall. Break those to find the next clue, then speak with the nearby Sweeping Villager to continue the quest.
Treasure Map Clue #3
Your journey continues to the quiet mountains of Kilnfire Ridge. Look for a lone hut sitting on an otherwise empty peak. Outside, a Woodcutter is chopping through a huge tree.
Talk to him, and he’ll say the Heroine has left her clue on the rooftop nearby. Follow your marker to the rooftop below the tree and pick up the scroll.
Treasure Map Clue #4
This clue pulls you back toward the place where your adventure began. Fast travel to the Bamboo Retreat Boundary Stone, then head north.
Here, you’ll find a lone Hunter shooting birds from the sky. Challenge him to an archery contest and win to earn the next treasure map.
Treasure Map Clue #5
The final clue is brief and uncomplicated:
“See you at the Bamboo Grove Hut!”
This is the very hut you start the game in and where you first meet Ruby. Head behind the Bamboo Abode and look between the two small staircases to find the last hidden item.
Pick it up to receive Ruby’s Letter, then open your Bag and read it under Quest Items. Once done, head inside the hut and walk into the marker to initiate the final cutscene and complete the encounter.
