All Rune Chests Locations in God of War
God of War has more than 20 Rune Chests available, and most of them are located in the Midgard. In Midgard, you’ll get almost 17 chests. Below we are listing down the locations of the Rune Chests in God of War.
- Midgard Rune Chests
- The first Chest is in the Wild Woods. You’ll get it in a temple while hunting deer with Atreus. You need to break the barriers and ring the 3 bells to retrieve the Chest. You’ll get Idunn Apple as a reward from it.
- The River Pass has 3 Rune Chests. The first one is in the branching path, the second is in the small ledge’s east corner, and the final one you’ll get after defeating Troll Brenna Dauoi. These chests offer you 2 Idunn Apple and Horn of Blood Mead.
- Foothills has one Rune Chest. You can get it near Sindri, on the southwest side, by following the patch. You’ll get Horn of Blood Mead from it.
- The next Rune Chest is in Lookout Tower. You can get it by following the markers on the map. Idunn Apple is the reward you can get from it.
- The Witch’s House has two Rune Chest. You can access the first inside a Cave by using the Light Arrows of Atreus, and the second Chest is at the bottom of the runes. You can get Horn of Blood Mead and Idunn Apple from it.
- The Mountain has 2 Rune Chest. The first one is behind a wooden wall. Break the wall to have the way towards the Chest. You’ll get the second one on the left side of the area where you fight with the Reavers. You’ll get Horn of Blood Mead and Idunn Apple from the Chests.
- The Tyr’ Temple has the Rune Chest in a spiky hallway. Players will get Idunn Apple from it.
- Fafnir’s Storeroom has one Chest. The Chest is in the forest area on the right side of the map. You’ll get Horn of Blood Mead from this Chest.
- Konunsgard has another Chest in a balcony that can be accessed through a doorway near the two Dwarves. You’ll get the Symbol of Bounty from it.
- One Rune Chest is in Veithurgard. It is located on the left side of the giant Dragon. You’ll get Horn of Blood Mead from it.
- Light Elf Outpost has one Rune Chest. You’ll find the Chest on the west side of the Helheim Tower. This Chest offers Idunn Apple to you as a reward.
- The last Midgard Rune Chest is in the Cliffs of the Raven. It is in the central portion of this area, and players will get the Symbol of Fervour from it.
- Alheim Rune Chests
- After entering Alheim, you’ll get 3 Rune Chests. You’ll get the first one as you start lowering down the platforms; the second is on the left side of the blue door, down the stairs; and the third is on the opposite side of the blue sealed door. You’ll get it after you kill the main boss of Alheim. You’ll get Idunn Apple and 2 Horn of Blood Mead from these.
- One Chest is in Light Elf Sanctuary. You’ll get the Chest once you clear out the enemies and head to the gate. Cross the bridge, and you’ll get the Chest on the right side. Idunn Apple is the reward you’ll get from it.
- Helheim Rune Chest
- You’ll get the Chest on the left side of the dock while returning to the boat. You’ll get Horn of Blood Mead from the Chest.
