Suburbia is one of the shining stars of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, featuring a mix of environmental narration and linked trick zones. Its design promotes exploration, and the concentration of goals contained within this suburban community sees it remain a community favorite. Classic collectibles, character interactions, and secret items are all here, challenging the player to use their trick set in full while making their way through the ramps, rooftops, and Halloween-themed architecture.

Here is a step-by-step guide to all challenges in Suburbia, from discovering the SKATE letters to uncovering secret zones and finding collectibles such as the Secret Tape and Hidden Deck.

How to Find the SKATE Letters

Gathering the S-K-A-T-E letters is one of the best ways to get accustomed to the layout of Suburbia. After unlocking the level by progressing past Rio, you’ll begin in the center cul-de-sac next to an ice cream truck. In front of you, you’ll spot a central ramp with another ramp directly behind it. On top of the fence beyond that second ramp sits the S letter. To reach it, grind the nearby planks and launch over the fence.

After grabbing the S, continue past the empty pool and turn left to find a house with a ramp. Skating around this house leads to a rooftop with another ramp. The K letter is suspended midair along this rooftop ramp.

From here, you’ll have a clear view of a set of ramps and some Halloween decorations. Near the end, find a turned-over table with A lying on top of it. Leap and catch it, and then move along the white line on the ground below. This leads down to a nearby house with a front gate, where the T lies above a rail. Grind the rail and proceed to the next street to discover a last ramp bearing the letter E that awaits collection.

How to do a Nosegrab Between the Ramps

To finish this trick challenge, begin at the cul-de-sac and head to the right towards the Halloween-themed ramps—this is the same location where you collected the A letter. You will notice two opposing ramps close to the decorations. Accelerate, line up between the ramps, and as you jump off one, do a Nosegrab in the air by pressing Up + Grab (Circle/B). You will achieve the goal upon landing on the other ramp smoothly.

How to Assist the Thin Man

Start by skating towards the area where you retrieved the E letter. A bit to the right, there’s an axe symbol hovering above the ground. Get the axe and head back towards the manor in front of the Halloween ramps.

Along the wall in this vicinity, it will lead you to the Thin Man, who, when given the axe, will unlock a secret door to a secret area of the map.

How to Obtain the Secret Tape

After the Thin Man opens the secret path, continue along it to a hidden ramp area. Take the ramp to jump onto a platform to the right, which will provide you with access to another part of the map. There, there is a window on the house above. Build up speed by taking the opposite ramp to the house and jump into the window and shatter it open.

Proceed through the house and jump out the rear window. Grind on the flagpole outside to pick up the Secret Tape. Make sure to land the grind cleanly—not just to prevent bailing, but because 500 successful grinds are needed for a trophy or achievement.

How to Restore Power to the Dish

Back to the K letter house. Across the rooftop from there, you will observe electrical wires linking multiple rooftops. Birds sit along these lines. Grind through all the linked wires to scare away the birds and re-establish power to the satellite dish, finishing the task.

How to Smash 5 Pumpkins

This Halloween challenge has you hunt down and smash five pumpkins placed throughout Suburbia.

  • The first pumpkin is on the street, directly under the K icon.
  • The second pumpkin is along the grindable path close to the Halloween ramps—come in from the same direction utilized for the previous nosegrab challenge.
  • A third pumpkin is close to the front entrance of the manor, just after where the T letter was picked up.
  • Another pumpkin is on a ramp close to the pool behind the K home.
  • The last pumpkin is located by entering the house with the satellite dish’s garage. Turn right once inside to find a pumpkin on the wall. Grind on this wall using the ramps nearby and destroy it.

The Logo collectible sits at the very top of the manor. To access it, go through the secret passage opened by the Thin Man. When outside, make your way up to the next rooftop using the ramp before you, and then keep climbing up until you reach the roof of the manor. The Logo is floating at the top, ready to be picked up.

How to Get the Hidden Deck

This collectible is fairly easy to spot. After picking up the E letter during the SKATE challenge, turn left and head up the central ramp in the cul-de-sac. The Hidden Deck is floating above, reachable with a well-timed ollie. This deck contributes toward your overall completion and is necessary if you’re working toward 100% in the game.
