The Sandflame Bandits have a map to a hidden treasure called the Daybreak Treasure. To find it, you’ll have to fight your way through their camp, which is guarded by Flame Fighters. You’ll also need to decipher the map to figure out where the treasure is located.

How to start the quest

To start, you’ll need to defeat the Flame Fighters guarding the camp. Their loot chests might contain the key you need to open the treasure. You might have to defeat several Flame Fighters before you find the key, as it’s a random drop.

Now that you have the key, head over to the main base of the Sandflame Bandits. Enter the base discreetly. One of the tents inside has a chest located in it.

Open the chest with your key. Inside you’ll find this special book called the collection codex. There is a secret sketch in there which gives a clue of the direction of the Daybreak Treasure.

Look closely at the drawing in the chest. It’s accompanied by a strange message that says, “The true power will be granted when the night turns to morning.” Close the chest, and as you open it again, a piece of paper falls out. This paper is the codex, which you can carry with you as you search for the treasure.

Make sure you get the map first. You won’t be able to find the treasure if you don’t have it.

Go to the stone marked on the drawing. It’s near the Aster Gathering campsite. Wait until morning, when the first rays of sunlight touch the stone. At this magical moment, the treasure box will appear.

To find out the in-game time, look at the bottom right corner of the map screen. Make sure you arrive at the treasure location at least 2 minutes before sunrise. If you’re late, you might miss the chance to get the treasure.

Rewards

Inside the treasure chest, you will find that there is a note and a shiny stone buried in the sand. The note congratulates you and asks you to join the Sandflame Bandits. And so you have one final challenge in store for you, one that will honor the spirit of Urupa, the founder of the bandits. You will also get other rewards such as:

・EXP: 40,363

・Sollant: 99,145

・Quality Armor Growthstone x11

Long ago, before there was a group called the Resistance, the only way to get away from the cruel rule of the lords was to wander without any direction or to become a bandit. The serfs, who were like slaves, didn’t have any special training or weapons, so they learned how to fight by swinging things around randomly, using whatever they could find. Even now, the brawlers of the Sandflame Bandits are proud of their past of using whatever they could find to fight, and they don’t think twice about using things like torches, chair legs, or anything else they can find as weapons.
