Silent Hill 2 is a scary game that also has a lot of puzzles. In the remake, the puzzles are longer and more difficult, and more fun to solve. When you first get to the Lakeview Hotel, you’ll see a big Music Box in the middle of the Lobby. You need three things to make it work. This guide will show you how to solve the Music Box puzzle in the Lobby.
Note: We will update the article with solutions for other difficulties in a few hours.
How to Find the Music Box Puzzle
To find the Music Box, go to the Lobby of the Lakeview Hotel. You’ll need an Ornamental Key to open it. This key is in the Check-In room on the first floor. It’s on the back wall along with the Room 312 Key. Use the Room 312 Key to unlock the Music Box. You’ll see three overlapping plates with patterns and three empty places. Explore the hotel to find objects that fit into those places. Solving other puzzles will help you find the right objects.
How to Find the Snow White Figurine
You’ll get the Snow White Figurine after you solve the Mirror puzzle in Room 202.
How to Find the Cinderella Figurine
After you get the key to Room 107 from the Conference Room on the third floor, go there and then go outside to the Garden area. There’s a gazebo in the back where you can find the Fireplace Key. Bring that key back to the Conference Room and use it to unlock the Fireplace. You’ll find a Cinderella Figurine behind the door, but be careful because you’ll get attacked as soon as you take it.
How to Find The Little Mermaid Figurine
To get the Little Mermaid Figurine, you’ll need to go to the Venus Tears Bar. The figurine is in front of the jukebox, but you can’t get to it right away. First, you have to put all your stuff in a cabinet and go into the Employee Section without any weapons. Then, you’ll have to go through the Basement and come out the other side. Once you’re in the Venus Tears Bar, you can get the figurine.

Where to put the Figurine in the Music Box
Don’t worry about putting the figurines in the wrong places. The game won’t let you do that.
To solve the puzzle, you need to turn each disc until there’s a clear path from each princess to the nearest door. Even though the discs overlap, you only need to worry about each princess having her own path. You can do this one at a time, turning each disc until it matches the picture. Start with the bigger disc on the far right and move it into place first. Then, you can move the smaller one. You can check the solution in the picture given below.

After you put the discs in the right places, you’ll see three poems and three keys. This is probably the hardest part of the puzzle. You need to turn each key the right number of times based on its poem. When you do this correctly, all three statues will move into their doors, and you’ll have solved the puzzle.
The puzzles have different numbers, but you need to figure out which number will take each princess home.
Figurine Name | Poem | Answer |
Snow White | What began with threeOne would soon deploreSeven kindly soulsOpened up the door | To get Snow White to her door, turn her key seven times. This is probably related to the seven dwarfs who took care of her. |
The Little Mermaid | Trading one for twoAway she would roamBut the love of fiveWould bring her back home | The poem talks about how the mermaid traded her tail for two legs. The important part is that five people brought her home. So, you should turn The Little Mermaid’s key five times. |
Cinderella | Taunted by the twoShe would toil awayLeaving one behindShe has found a way | The last key is related to Cinderella’s one shoe that helped her find her prince. So, you only need to turn it once. |
After you turn each key the correct number of times, press the big button below. Then, all three princesses will go to their doors, and you’ll find a key that will help you continue your adventure.
