Discover the spooky world of Alone in the Dark in this single-player adventure set in the 1930s. While navigating through the Derceto Manor in the game, you’ll stumble upon memories that will help you find Jeremy. You’ll encounter a variety of puzzles that block your path to the next goal. Some puzzles in Alone in the Dark are pretty easy while others are more complex and require multiple steps to solve. One such puzzle is the Perosi’s Room Puzzle. Let’s see in this guide how to solve the Alone in the Dark Perosi’s Room Puzzle.
How to Solve Alone in the Dark Perosi’s Room Puzzle?
To start Perosi’s Room puzzle, make sure you have Room Key #6. This key is available at the Clerk’s Office after you finish exploring the French Quarter. After that, head over to Perosi’s Room and locate the locked drawer.
To crack the puzzle start to look for a book, Perosi’s Journal in this room. It can be found lying on the couch. It has a mysterious journal entry from Perosi, as well as a diagram of the 12 zodiac signs. You may need to refer back to it later.
Now, turn your attention to the corner of the room where you’ll find six paintings with a line of mold creeping along them. Each painting is movable, but be sure to flip them all so that the black mold creates a wave pattern. Turn over the paintings labeled William Arges, Franklyn Mosig, and Norah Keith – they are the second, third, and sixth paintings, respectively.
Next, make your way to the painting of the family tree with ships. You’ll come across a range of names, including the ones featured in the previous paintings. Be sure to note the numbers above each painting. Look out for these numbers for the three people we talked about earlier.
- William Arges – 2
- Franklyn Mosig – 9
- Norah Keith – 4
Now open your inventory and check out Perosi’s Journal. Select the View option to zoom in and take a closer look. Inside, you’ll find a collection of zodiac signs arranged on a disc. Some of the symbols have numbers assigned to them – Aquarius is represented by the number 1, Scorpio is number 10, and Sagittarius is number 11. To find the numbers for the rest of the symbols, just add one for each one.
So the signs corresponding to the three numbers (2, 4, 9) you discovered earlier are Pisces, Libra, and Taurus. To unlock the drawer, simply enter the three signs in the correct order on the lock. Once you have entered the right combination the lock will open and you’ll find the Broken Plate piece of the Astronomical Clock.
