Blue Prince has a plethora of safes in the Manor and throughout the nearby area of Mount Holly for you to interact with and unlock as you progress in the game. You can find a safe inside the Bomb Shelter.
However, players must have the ability to draft a Shelter in this secret outdoor location before moving ahead and unlocking the Time-Lock Safe. You must know the exact location of this safe and a few more prerequisites, such as how to unlock the Time-Lock Safe and what steps to follow in order to find out the correct time and date.
Shelter Time-Lock Safe: Location
You can locate the Time-Lock Safe inside the Shelter in Blue Prince. However, you must keep in mind that this can only be drafted outside. But how to access this area?
- Draft the garage on the west side of the main house.
- Open the garage with the breaker.
- Head south to access the outside room.
To keep an easy way to interact with this area, leave the gate that leads to the front of the house. Now you can access this area without having to draft the garage every single time.
However, here comes an interesting part. Based entirely on your luck, you’ll be able to have the Shelter in your drafting options.
How to Unlock the Time-Lock Safe in Blue Prince?
To unlock the safe, you must enter two inputs into the Shelter terminal. A date and time are necessary for the safe to be unlocked. However, this will differ depending upon your run.
There is a method to find the correct date that requires you to borrow a book after drafting the library.
- Draft the library again.
- Notice the slip inside the book you borrowed earlier from the library.
- The slip will show you the present (in-game) date.
- Count from that date to enter the input while unlocking the safe.
There’s another way to find the correct date.
Once you connect with the terminal and navigate over to Staff Announcements, a message left for you on November 7th, count upwards from this date and subtract one day from it to find out the current date.
Finding the correct time isn’t as tricky as it just requires you to look at the clock on Mount Holly. However, the crucial part to unlock the safe is to schedule it at least an hour from the time shown on the clock outside.
Once you unlock the safe, you’ll find a gem and a red letter, which is essential to understanding the lore of the Blue Prince later on.
Time-Lock Safe in Blue Prince: Rewards
Once you unlock the Time-Lock Shelter inside the Shelter, you’ll receive a Gem and a Red Letter. You’ll come across a few Red Letters across the Manor while searching for Room 46 in Blue Prince; this one is marked with a “VII”.
The letter will trace an intriguing story about the unusual occurrences of the Mt. Holly estate. Even though you won’t be able to collect the letters, these will turn out to be an essential element for a puzzle later in the game. A random tip is to manually keep a record of the contents in the letter, such as the associated number and the information contained within the note.
