Shadows Crossing quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
In the fourth mission of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Shadows Crossing quest, players regroup at the Veil Jumper Camp, where they can upgrade equipment and manage relationships. The mission involves traveling to D’Meta’s Crossing, where players must navigate through a blighted town, using skills to deactivate barriers and gather loot. As the party progresses, they uncover the fate of fellow Veil Jumpers while facing pulsing masses of blight. The eerie atmosphere and exploration lead to crucial encounters, culminating in a significant decision about the town’s inhabitants. Players are encouraged to engage with the environment for valuable resources.
Fate of Mayor Julius in Shadows Crossing quest
In the Shadows Crossing quest, you’ll face several dialogue choices, but the big moment comes when you decide the fate of Mayor Julius. You have three options; Save him, leave him behind or banish him to the Grey Wardens (only for Grey Warden faction). Your choices will affect your companions’ opinions: if you save him, Bellara and Harding won’t approve, but Neve will. Leaving him behind gets a thumbs down from Neve, while Bellara and Harding are on board. Banishment to the Grey Wardens will earn strong approval from Neve, but disapproval from Bellara and Harding.

After you make your decision about Mayor Julius, open your map and fast-travel back to the beacon at the Veil Jumper Camp. Once you arrive, talk to Strife and Irelin in the center of the camp to update them on what you’ve seen. In the final scene of the quest, you’ll face one last important dialogue choice. When Bellara asks, “How do we stand up against that?” You’ll then have three options, each favored by one of your companions. The first option is “Whatever it takes” which will be approved by Bellara, the second option is “Step by step” which is approved by Neve and the third one is “We work together” which is approved by Harding. After this, you’ll meet a new ally and then be taken to the ritual site for the next main quest, The Singing Blade.
