In order to farm the Rune, players need to kill enemies like Trolls, etc which can be found on the map. Players might find it difficult at first to farm Rune because the enemies at the early can be difficult to kill. - For the early game players
The best spot for rune farm for the early game players is hands down the place called Storm Hill where players will see a whole lot of trolls. They can group up and kill you super easy but they can also hit other trolls so grouping them might not be a bad idea.

One of the best places for mid-game players to farm Runes is Beastial Sanctum. After getting into the Sanctum, players will need to go into the area and start killing the Vulgar Militiaman. Each of the Vulgar Militaman enemies will provide 1094 Runes and there are around 18 enemies in the area so farming them is easier and faster. Players need to make sure that they interact with the light in the area so that they can quickly teleport back and start the farm all over again.
- For the End-game players
Players need to complete a questline called Elden Ring Varre and this will provide players with a Pureblood Knight’s medal. After equipping Golden Scarab and Pureblood Knight’s medal, players will get teleported into an area where they will fight 3 elites which provide players with 20000 Rune each. After killing them, just simply go back to any safe area to respawn the enemies then go back. As players level up and upgrade weapons, it will become easier and easier to kill enemies.
NOTE: it is not required to have a golden Scarab to enter the special area but it will increase the drop amount of Rune.
