Strange things hide inside Reanimal, even if it does not last long. Not far from odd masks lie posters that reveal artwork when found. Hidden throughout different parts of the story are five coffins – these matter more than anything else. Each one waits quietly, placed where few might look twice.

Hunting down each of the five coffins opens Reanimal’s hidden ending, peeling back more of its unsettling story. Should you be chasing full completion or simply need closure, this guide shows precisely where every coffin lies within Reanimal.

Number of Coffins in Reanimal?

Five coffins wait, scattered through chapters one, three, four, and seven. While racing toward main objectives, eyes often skip past them.

Finding every coffin is key, since only after you find them does the hidden ending unlock.

Coffin 1 – Chapter 1: Dead in the Water

A short while later, the initial coffin shows up just past the bridge when riding the handcar at the start of the chapter.

Ahead of the cave where the tale pushes on, pause the handcar in the clearing nearby and step down. Rather than pressing ahead, drift toward the right edge of the space. There, a traincar sits waiting, its doorway swung wide.

Open the traincar door, move forward. Beyond lies a concealed corner where the first coffin rests. Engage with it prior to moving ahead. Proceed only after that.

Coffin 2 – Chapter 3: After the Flood

Beneath rising water, the second coffin shows up while moving past rooftops in a small vessel.

Once you have the harpoons and are seated in your boat again, make your way toward the big hotel. Most times, the next step is setting off an explosion at the mine just ahead of it to push forward. This time, though, skip that – turn into the narrow path beside the hotel on the right.

A narrow path hides a secret route blocked by twin mines on the left. Hit each mine with a harpoon to open the entrance. After they’re gone, pull the boat in and tie it up. The bright yellow doorway straight ahead is where you need to go next.

Down below the steps sits another coffin. Once you’ve touched it, head back toward where you came from.

Coffin 3 – Chapter 3: After the Flood

A little while later, the third coffin appears – close on the heels of the second one, both tucked into Chapter 3.

Flooded paths behind you now, head into the open where a cannon stands alone. Wrap around its right flank without rushing. Drifting left after that, aim for the wall at the far edge. A narrow opening waits there, tucked out of sight.

Down into the cave, move ahead. When reaching the flooded stretch, take down the enemy – use the harpoon waiting nearby.

When the trail runs out, step onto the sand where a coffin sits still. Following this moment, head onward into the core of the tale.

Coffin 4 – Chapter 4: No Shelter

A small space close to where Chapter 4 ends holds the fourth coffin. It sits hidden within the Orphanage, just off the main path.

A point comes when your buddy dangles in a pit tied to a rope, while you stand below in a wide chamber. Instead of touching the wheel at the far right straight away, step ahead past the lens, shift sideways to the left – there’s a secret entrance now visible.

Step past the doorway into another space. There, wait – spot the fourth coffin inside.

Coffin 5 – Chapter 7: The Spoils

A single coffin waits inside the hospital by Chapter 7 – this one marks the last.

A sudden blast echoes as you step into the ward, where injured troops lie among smoking wreckage. Down the corridor, flames leap from overturned cots, lighting your path forward. Close by, a chair rolls without warning – its wheels creaking in rhythm with distant shouts.

Ahead lies an opening – step through to spot a massive steel door. At its front, twist the heavy wheel until it releases the seal. Down below, a rung ladder waits; descend one bar at a time.

Down below sits the last coffin. Touch it to lock in steps toward the hidden finale.
