TCG Mode in Genshin Impact is Coming Soon!
Genshin players have been long complaining about the lack of more end-game content. Spiral Abyss isn’t bad, but it’s only for serious or hardcore players. Casual players can’t expect to beat it, and it cannot be played casually, even by hardcore players. Genshin devs finally listened to their players as it looks like we’re soon getting a Trading Card Game mode.
This game mode will entail players collecting cards of the featured characters on the cards, which include even monsters like the Oceanid and other NPC characters too. The game mode will be largely PvE (Player versus Enemy), but leakers suggest there could be a PvP (Player versus Player) mode added later in future updates.
Players will likely be able to collect these cards through quests and exploration in the overworld, and it could be a new kind of reward from overworld chests. The game involves rolling dice of 8, giving us the energy to use our elemental bursts or skills. Players must also choose one main character and two other side characters to play with in case the main character falls in battle.
It’s a casual game against your opponent, who will do the same. The game mode will rely mostly on luck which is great because whales won’t have an outright advantage due to their min-maxed kits and powerful character builds. The game mode is expected to drop in Version 3.3 as it’s not even part of Version 3.2 Beta.
