The Last Cask is one of those side quests that seems so straightforward in writing—find a person who likes this very rare Valore liquor—but in practice, trying to find the right buyer can be like hitting a brick wall. If you’ve been wandering aimlessly, here’s exactly where you go and what you do to wrap up this quest.

Finding the Buyer for the Last Cask
Once you complete Chapter 1 of Master of Wealth, a new side quest shows up in Valore. A merchant on the Main Boulevard flags you down and describes his situation: he’s sitting on the final cask of the Valore Vintage Liquor and can’t seem to find anyone willing to pick it up. You agree to help, and the hunt is on.
The buyer you’re seeking isn’t in Valore at all–you’ll need to travel to Teathropolis in the Flatlands Region. Leave Valore on the Valore Trail, then turn east into the West Emberglow Wilds. Keep right till you reach the North Teathropolis Plains, then follow the path south to reach town.
If road monsters are giving you grief, then adjust your formation. Move the sturdier characters to the Front Row and let anyone with low health or SP recover in the Back Row. You can swap rows during a character’s turn using ZR; this makes it much easier to keep your party alive during longer treks.

The Teathropolis NPC you need
Once inside Teathropolis, go straight to the Tavern—it is marked with a beer mug icon, so you won’t miss it. Inside, go to the upper right corner. In this place, there’s an NPC wearing red, who wants nothing more than Valore liquor.
Use Inquire on him first. His description confirms he has a taste for Valore spirits, but simply learning about him isn’t enough. Open your Path Action menu again and scroll to the bottom to choose Hire. That’s the real key to this quest.
When he agrees to join you as a Helper, bring him back to Valore.
Completing the Quest
Return to the merchant who started this whole thing. Once he sees your newly hired Noble Liquor Connoisseur, everything falls into place, and you’ll get 3,500 Leaves for your effort.
