Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Astalos Guide- How to Defeat?
Astalos is a Flying Wyvern, introduced in Monster Hunter generations, and it has made its way to the latest Sunbreak expansion of Monster Hunter Rise. Astalos is one of the most challenging opponents because of its aggressive attitude towards players. If you are looking for Astalos, you have to search the Jungle to find this Wyvern.
Astalos has several deadly attacks that deal tons of damage to the players. Some of these attacks are the Tail Bolt attack, where Astalos launches a bolt of electricity from its tail; the Horn Bolt attack, where it throws the electricity from its horn; Thunder Dive Bomb, where Astalos jumps up and comes down, launching an AOE Thunder damage; Electrical Tail Ground Stab, where the enemy plants its tail to unleash an electrical blast; Bolting Dash, where Astalos pair a dash attack with an electrical bite to damage distanced enemies. Besides these, there are some other attacks that Astalos has, and each is deadly. Some of Astalos’ attacks inflict Thunderblight Effect, where players get stunned. Therefore, don’t forget to carry some Nulberries to cure the status effect.
To defeat Astalos, use Shock Traps to stun him; alternatively, you can use Pitfall Traps. Astalos gets charged frequently and becomes Yellow-Green. When charged, Astalos attacks faster and covers more area. Also, the attacks deal more damage than usual. At this point, Shock Traps will stun the Wyvern and damage it. Also, use weapons to deal Ice and Water damage to this creature as it is particularly weak to these damages. However, don’t forget to avoid Astalos’ attacks; otherwise, you will be killed.
That’s how you can defeat Astalos in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Though this fight is time-consuming and challenging, don’t lose your focus on the enemy. Keep dodging its attacks and attack it simultaneously to defeat it.
