In Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl, unlocking the Mindscrew door requires players to navigate a complex quest involving multiple locations and characters. The journey begins at Quiet’s camp on Wild Island, where players receive the quest “A Light in the End of the Tunnel.” This quest sets them on a path to locate Peat. However, Peat’s whereabouts aren’t straightforward, leading you to follow a trail of clues from the Old Checkpoint Tower to the Rookie Village. After meeting with Whale, the village medic, you will finally discover Peat. In this guide, we will discuss Mindscrew door code in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Visit Quiet’s camp
To get the Mindscrew door code, first go to Quiet’s camp, marked on the map above located on the Wild Island. Once you reach the area enter the building and take a left and you will enter a room. From there take a right and you will find a guy sitting behind the desk named Quiet, now talk to him. When you talk to him he will give you a quest “A Light in the End of the Tunnel”. If you accept the quest, you will be sent to meet someone named Peat for information about the portable PSI installation device. Peat is found at the Old Checkpoint in the Cordon region, but you won’t find him there.
How to find Peat
So, to find Peat, head to the Old Checkpoint Tower. Climb up the stairs to reach the second floor of the tower. Here on the left side, you will find a desk on which there is a recording left by Peat. After that, make your way to the Rookie Village, located north of the Old Checkpoint (marked on the map below). Here, talk to Multitool and he will direct you to the village medic, as Peat has been injured and is healed by the medic, Whale.
Visit the village medic, Whale, and ask him about Peat. After a brief conversation, Whale will allow you to see him. When you interact with Peat, he won’t be able to speak but will repeatedly say “1268,” which is your Mindscrew Door Code. Now go back to the Mindscrew in the Cordon Region and open the locked door by entering the code “1268”.
