All Lost Artifacts of Europe Locations
In the Vatican City section of the game, there’s a fun side quest called ‘Lost Artifacts of Europe’. This quest involves collecting five special artifacts hidden throughout this area. To help you find them, we’ve included a map that shows the exact locations of each of these Lost Artifacts.
1. Golden Xiphos
When you enter the Sistine Chapel from the Borgia Courtyards, you’ll find yourself in a small, beautifully decorated room. There are several paintings on the wall opposite the stairs leading into the chapel. Look closely at the paintings – one of them will be a portrait of a pope, but it’s upside down! Carefully turn the portrait so it’s right-side up. Once you do, the painting will slide aside, revealing a hidden compartment. Inside, you’ll find the Golden Xiphos.
2. Parade Helmet
To get the Parade Helmet, you’ll need a Bottle of Wine. In the Tower of Nicholas V, there’s a mural. Use the Bottle of Wine to activate it and open a secret passage to the underworld. You’ll see a spiral staircase going down. Ignore that! Instead, carefully climb the stairs going UP. Some of the steps are broken, so you’ll need to jump a bit. Keep going until you reach the very top of the tower. The Parade Helmet will be waiting for you there.
3. Bronze Mirror
During the ‘Mad Priest Fieldwork’ sidequest, Antonio will give you a Sewers Key. He’ll tell you that the gate you need to find is located beneath the Tower of Nicholas V.Go inside the tower and look for stairs leading down. These will take you to the Sewers. You’ll find a gate with a bridge. Once you cross the bridge, you’ll see a guard sleeping next to a weak stone wall. You can find sledgehammers within the sewers. Use these sledgehammers to break down the weak wall. Behind it, you’ll discover a well. At the bottom of this well, you’ll find the Bronze Mirror.
4. Drinking Horn
While you’re investigating the ‘A Nun in Trouble’ mystery, you’ll come across the spot where Guiliana killed a guard. Make sure to photograph the evidence before some troublemakers arrive. As you’re leaving that area and heading towards the gardens off Via Di Belvedere, you’ll notice a small room used for gardening supplies. There’s a safe inside this room. To open the safe, find the green lamp located near the door and turn it off. When you do, the code 7171 will be revealed. Use this code to open the safe, and inside you’ll find the Drinking Horn.
5. Venus Figurine
To get the Venus Figurine, you’ll need to solve the ‘A Nun in Trouble’ mystery. Once you’ve solved the mystery by climbing to the top of Borgia Tower, go back to the interrogation room. You’ll notice a bare brick wall. Go to the previous room and grab a pickaxe. Use the pickaxe to break through the bare brick wall in the interrogation room. Behind it, you’ll find the Venus Figurine.
