The HUB Terminal is the central hub for the Satisfactory game, where the player can unlock new buildings, tools, and upgrades that can give him a lead in the game. The upgrades each require a certain set of resources and entail much effort to acquire. On rare occasions, while exploring more of the world, some of the rare resources can be found but acquired only with a bit more effort.
Base upgrading will play a significant role in this brand new world full of dangers. The main base in the game is the HUB Terminal, which, when upgraded little by little, gradually unlocks variances of buildings, tools, and defenses. This guide will walk you through how to upgrade the HUB Terminal and how to get started in the game.
What Is The HUB Terminal
When players first arrive in the new world, they only have a basic tool and their spaceship. To start their adventure, they need to break down their spaceship to get the materials they need to build their first base, called the HUB Terminal. The HUB Terminal is where players can craft the items they need to upgrade their base.
The HUB Terminal is simple yet the root of your adventure. You’re going to start off with crafting iron ingots, iron plates, and iron rods by using iron ore. Once you have all these stockpiled, upgrade your HUB Terminal to unlock more features that will enable you to further yourself in the game.
How To Upgrade HUB Terminal
As soon as you start playing Satisfactory, you’re first guided through the basic setting up of living in the new world. One important task is upgrading your HUB Terminal. This is pretty essential because by upgrading it, you will then be able to build a stronger base, unlock new things, and feel safer. That is quite easy to do, and most of the time you’re just gathering the resources you need for an upgrade.
To upgrade your HUB Terminal, go to the upgrade bench, it will guide you through the rest of the process. Place your materials in the available slots on the side and confirm your upgrade. This will take a while, if you want, you can skip this during early gameplay.
There are usually 3-5 steps to complete each upgrade level, but the starting phase has 6 steps and lots of rewards. You’ll get these rewards even if you skip this phase, but missing the tutorials might hurt you later in the game.
