Even though Enotria: The Last Song has many good things, it can be confusing for new players at first. As there are so many things to remember, it’s easy to forget what’s most important.
In Enotria: The Last Song, one can strengthen his weapons, masks, and mask lines. But they can’t do this right away. They have to go to a special place first to unlock this ability. Here’s how it works.
How to Upgrade Equipment
Players can make their equipment stronger at the Anvil. This special place is near the major fast travel points called Corda Risonante. It’s easy to find because it says “Equipment Upgrade” when you hover over it. The first Anvil is in Quinta Lower Commons, in the city after the bridge with the Reality Rift.
In Enotria: The Last Song, you can upgrade three different equipment.
- Weapons
- Masks
- Mask Lines
You can make all three things stronger at the same Anvil. Just choose the right option in the upgrade menu.
How to Upgrade your Weapon
To make your weapons stronger, you’ll need two things: Efestite or Unraveled Efestite and Memoria. Efestite is used for weapons without a border or with a blue border, while Unraveled Efestite is used for weapons with a purple border.
There are different levels of Efestite and Unraveled Efestite. You’ll need higher levels to make stronger weapons. The levels go from Efestite Fragment to Efestite Shard to Efestite Nugget, and so on. The same is true for Unraveled Efestite.
How to Upgrade your Mask
You’ll need Broken Maiolica or Unraveled Broken Maiolica or Memoria to upgrade your Masks. Rare Masks, like Curtis’s Mask, need Unraveled Broken Maiolica, while common Masks, like the Mask of Change, need Broken Maiolica to upgrade.
How to Upgrade your Mask Lines
To make your Mask Lines stronger, you’ll need Shred of the Canovaccio and Memoria. Upgrading a Mask Line not only increases its base damage but also how quickly it charges, making upgrades with “Presto” charge even faster.
How to get Refund for Equipment Upgrades
In Enotria: The Last Song, you can get back some of the money you spent to make your weapons, Masks, or Mask Lines stronger. To do this, just choose the upgraded item in the Equipment Upgrade menu and press the Refund hotkey that’s shown at the bottom, near the Upgrade button.
When you refund an equipment upgrade, you’ll get back all the materials you used, except for the Memoria. So, if you spent 6 Unraveled Efestite Fragments to make a Longsword stronger, you’ll get all 6 fragments back. But you won’t get back the 1200 Memoria you also spent.
When you refund a weapon upgrade, it will become one level weaker. So, a +8 sword will become a +7 sword. You can keep refunding it until it becomes a +0 sword.
