Vaults are not a new inclusion to Fortnite. Veteran players have already encountered and opened multiple vaults throughout the previous Fortnite seasons, but Chapter 5 Season 1 twisted things. Generally, players need to find the keys to open the underground vaults in the previous seasons, but this season has changed things. Now, opening vaults requires them to fight bosses, and the Snooty Steppes vault is one among them. If you have been looking for a way to unlock the Snooty Steppes vault in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, this guide will help you.
Best Method to Unlock Snooty Steppes Vault in Chapter 5, Season 1
The new season has brought tons of changes to the game and one of the prominent one is the introduction of the bosses. The game now has five bosses placed over different locations on the map and they are guarding some valuable locations that players need to access to heighten their weapon power.
If you have been grinding the game, you must have noticed that Snooty Steppes is located on the extreme south of the map. This location contains an underground vault that has a Weapon Mod Bench inside. So, if you are willing to access the Mod Bench, you have to open the vault and for that, you need to get Peter Griffin’s Medallion.
That’s the key to unlock the vault, but the process is challenging. Players need to defeat Peter Griffin. Once you land, you will locate Griffin on the first floor of the Manor. The fight will be one of the toughest one as the enemy will have his Mythic Shotgun. It will deal devastating damage if you get shot. So, if you are trying to fight him, be prepared with healing items. You can use the southeast cliff to trap him and easily take him down. Once he tries to close the distance with you and jumps down, he will be trapped. That will be your chance to deal enough damage to kill him.
Once you are done with him, you will get his Shotgun, Medallion and several more items. Pick up the Medallion and go to the underground vault. Use it to the electronic key panel and the vault door will be opened.
That’s all you need to do to open the Snooty Steppes Vault in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1.
