While running through different realms in God of War Ragnarok, Kratos gets tons of chests to open among them; Nornir chests are the special ones you can’t open randomly. Instead, there’s a particular process to follow to open each Nornir Chest in God of War Ragnarok. Some want players to ring bells, while others want to break seals. But if you can’t follow the process they want, you can’t open them.
This guide will help you open a Nornir Chest you find underneath the Oarsmen Statue in Midgard.
Guide to Open the Oarsmen Nornir Chest in God of War Ragnarok- How to Ring the Bells?
We have already told the location of the Nornir Chest that it will be found under the Oarsmen Statue in Midgard. If you still get confused about the exact location of the statue, check the map below to get the location.
Once you reach the cave, you can see the Chest but can’t open it unless you ring the three bells. When you first enter, you neither see the bells nor open the gate beside the Chest. To ring the bells, climb the platform next to the Chest and then climb the wall to reach outside. Once in the snowy area, you’ll see a chain that Kratos and Freya can use to climb the next platform.
Once on the next platform, pull the giant chain. It will move the rocks on the right side and open up a staircase. Go down using them. Fight the enemies and let Mimir read the writings on the rocks. Kratos can open the Legendary Chest there.
Now progress to the next area, where you’ll see that you are on the opposite side of the same iron gate you saw beside the Nornir Chest. Freya can shoot the drum with gold attached to it. It will break the entire structure of gold on the platform, and now, Kratos can open the Iron Gate.
Go to the other side, and you’ll find the first Bell at the location shown in the image. Throw the Leviathan Axe and ring the bell.
Next, the second bell will be found behind Kratos. Turn towards the stairs, and you’ll find the second bell on the left side platform (image below). Throw the Axe to ring it.
Finally, the last bell will be found on the opposite side of the second bell. Turn back, and Kratos can see the bell hanging. Throw the Axe to ring it.
Once all the bells rang, players can now open the Nornir Chest and get the Iddun Apple and Horn of Blood Mead from it.
That’s all you need to do to open the Nornir Chest underneath the Oarsmen Statue in Midgard.
