God of War Ragnarok is an exclusive PlayStation version of the God of War series. Being a sequel to 2018’s God of War, this game is also based on Norse mythology and features the two main characters, Kratos and Atreus, whose journey marks the progression of the story. However, like previous installments, this game also has many puzzles to solve, one of which is the Watchtower Key puzzle that Kratos and Atreus need to solve. Watchtower Key Puzzle Solution Guide- How to Open the Gate?
Puzzles are one of the most exciting features of God of War. In God of War, players get puzzles at every step; without solving them, it is impossible to progress. Generally, the puzzles are not that tough; however, sometimes, the settings and lack of hints make the standard puzzles even more complicated. This watchtower puzzle is one of them. It is a simple puzzle but gives players a hard time solving it.
This puzzle is located on the small island, Bay of Bounty. Here, players need to find the Watch Tower key to progress further. As you enter the location, you’ll find a way is blocked with Gold. The pile of Gold has a red jar between them. Kratos should use his Leviathan Axe to break the jar and clear the path.
As soon as the path is clear, some weird creatures start attacking Kratos and Atreus. Though Atrus try, Kratos has to kill them and progress through the way. At the end of the path, players will find the source of these creatures, and Kratos must destroy it. Now, Climb up the ledge, and on the next platform, you’ll find another pile of Gold blocking your path. Again, hit the red jar with the Leviathan Axe to clear the path. There will be a narrow way to proceed, which will take players to the other side.
On the other side, players will also find the same creatures and the source they spawn. Destroy it, and you can now open the iron door to make getting back to this place easier. Now go to the wheel, and interact with it. Moving the wheel will bring down a platform. Throw your Axe to the round part on the gate to freeze it.
Now get down through the area you climbed up to this part and start moving towards the right side. You’ll get on the platform you just brought down. Once you are on the platform, it’ll lift up, and you’ll find a blue-marked portion in the middle of the floor below (image below). Jump and hit that area with your Axe.
It’ll break down, and you’ll fall. There’s an enemy to fight. After you defeat him, you’ll find a Chest in a corner. Open it, and the Watchtower Key will be inside. Acquire the key, and now, you can access the watch tower.
That’s all you need to know about solving the puzzle and getting the Watch Tower key in God of War. Remember to roam around the location while solving the puzzle, and you’ll find lots of Hacksilver from the jars.
