How to Recruit Lace Harding in Dragon Age
You can recruit Harding right at the start of the story during the “The End of the Beginning” quest. She’s an Inquisition Agent. Harding specializes in using her bow, firing arrows that can shred armor and take down enemies with precision. She has several abilities, including Seismic Shot, Heavy Draw, Shred, Adrenaline Rush, and Soothing Potion, and she unlocks more as the story unfolds. As a dwarven rogue scout with a positive outlook, Harding brings much-needed optimism to the team. Notably, she’s the only companion in Veilguard who has appeared in a previous Dragon Age game, having served in the Inquisition during Dragon Age: Inquisition, making this her first time as a playable character.
How to Recruit Neve Gallus in Dragon Age
You can recruit Neve at the start of the game during the “The End of the Beginning” quest. She belongs to the Shadow Dragons faction and is a human ice mage capable of slowing or freezing her enemies. Born in Minrathous, Neve wields a variety of abilities, including Icebreaker, Blizzard, Glacial Pace, Time Slow, and Replenish. Additionally, she is one of the companions who can become ‘Hardened’ based on a significant decision you’ll face in the main story.
How to Recruit Bellara Lutare in Dragon Age
You’ll meet Bellara at the beginning of the “In Entropy’s Grasp” quest, where Strife and Irelin will send you to find her. After a short walk through the forest, she’ll join your party. Bellara is part of the Veil Jumpers faction and is an elven mage who wields electricity and has the ability to manipulate the Fade, which can be very useful. She’s quick-witted, a bit scatter-brained, and brings a cheerful energy to the team. However, she also has a troubled backstory that you can explore during her companion quest.
How to Recruit Lucanis Dellamorte in Dragon Age
You’ll meet Lucanis during the “Sea of Blood” main quest after interacting with the Antivan Crows in Treviso. He’s a member of the Antivan Crows faction and a human rogue who specializes in Necrotic damage and wields dual daggers. Known for his ability to take down powerful mages, he’s earned the nickname “Demon of Vyrantium.” Additionally, Lucanis is one of the companions who can become ‘Hardened’ based on a significant choice you’ll face in the main story.
How to Recruit Davrin in Dragon Age
You’ll encounter Davrin during the “A Warden’s Best Friend” main quest, which becomes available shortly after the “In Peace, Vigilance” quest. This happens after you assist both the Shadow Dragons in Minrathous and the Crows in Treviso as part of the main storyline. Davrin is an elven warrior and a member of the Grey Wardens, specializing in powerful combination and fire attacks. He also has a young griffon named Assan that he cares for, which is a new experience for him since he’s more accustomed to hunting beasts than raising them, thanks to his upbringing in a Dalish clan.
How to Recruit Taash in Dragon Age
You’ll meet Taash during the “The Dragon Slayer” main quest, which unlocks after you talk to Harding as part of the “Completing the Veilguard” quest, following your first major story decision. Taash is a Qunari warrior and dragon hunter who has allied with the Lords of Fortune. She can unleash flames and wields dual axes to take down any enemy in her way. Since Taash didn’t grow up around other Qunari, she has faced some challenges in figuring out her identity while adventuring with the Lords of Fortune.
How to Recruit Emmrich in Dragon Age
You’ll meet Emmrich during the “Where the Dead Must Go” main quest, which unlocks after you speak to Bellara as part of the “Completing the Veilguard” quest, following your first major story decision. Emmrich is a human mage necromancer affiliated with The Mourn Watch, and he uses Necrosis abilities to deal damage. He has a unique assistant; a skeleton named Mandfred. As a necromancer, Emmrich can summon the spirits of the dead to not only attack enemies but also to heal his companions.
