The new game controls are different from the 2018 game of God of War, especially for the quick turn. You might even think that it has been removed entirely from the game, but that is not the case. You will still be able to perform the quick turn with the new and updated controls.
For the controls, you will now need to hold L1 and then press the down button on the D-pad to perform a quick turn. Earlier, you only needed to press the down button on the D-pad in order for this move to work. Now, you can execute the same move of the quick turn by additionally holding down the L1 key.
This new development has appeared after the devs received complaints from players who were accidentally doing quick turns by pressing down on the D-pad. Now, everyone will have to quick turn with an extra key. However, you can tweak the controls slightly in the controller mapping settings in God of War Ragnarok.
