In Indiana Jones and the Secrets of the Queen Mother, powering up the elevator is a critical step in uncovering the mysteries hidden within the tomb of Queen Mother Khentkawes. Whether it’s dealing with dangerous enemies or deciphering a mysterious riddle, this guide will help you power up the elevator and embark on an unforgettable journey into the heart of the Queen Mother’s tomb.

Secret of the Queen Mother

“Secrets of the Queen Mother” is a Fieldwork Sidequest located in Gizeh, near the excavation site of the pyramids. Here, you will meet Omar, Nawal’s contact, who shares a piece of an ancient relic and asks you to explore the tomb of Queen Mother Khentkawes before the Nazis can reach it.

  • The easiest way to find Omar is by following the checkpoints from the main story quest The Idol of Ra. Nawal’s guidance will direct you to him, where he will explain the mission.
  • After speaking with Omar, be sure to grab the local map from the table before you leave. It’s recommended to progress in the main story until you unlock the Wehrmacht disguise, as it will make exploring the tomb much simpler.
  • Once you arrive at the tomb, you will encounter a large Nazi presence outside. Be sure to take a photo of the ruins with your camera to collect the Khentkhawes Ruins note before heading down.

If you don’t have the disguise, you can approach from Omar’s camp and use the zip line to sneak into the compound. To find every note, be sure to search around the camp thoroughly.

Jurgen’s Note

Jurgen’s Note can be found on the ridge opposite Omar, along with a medicine bottle that you will want to pick up for upgrades. The Shutdown Notice note is located on the second level of the elevator, but be cautious – even with a Nazi disguise, a captain is nearby. The Nightshift Diary is located on a pillar southeast of the Shutdown Notice. After collecting these, head down to the elevator. The Climbing Ace II book is in a small tomb near this area. From Jurgen’s Note, climb the scaffolding to the south, then use your whip to reach the top of the tomb where the book is waiting.

How to Power Up the Elevator in Secret of the Queen Mother

To power up the elevator and access the tomb, start by grabbing the note next to it. The note informs you that the power has been rerouted to the water pumps.

  • First follow the blue wire into the mines. You will encounter a closed door blocking the path, so head in the other direction to continue the trail. You will overhear two Nazis talking about the power in a room, which also contains a medicine bottle – pick that up first.
  • Flip the switch to take out both Nazis with a lightning strike, then move across to the neighboring room. There, you will find two more Nazis; you can either deal with them or use your disguise to slip past and flip the second switch. Two more Nazis will enter the room.
  • In this room, you can also open a Nazi chest containing 50 Lira and the Button Man 1 book. After handling the Nazis, return to the elevator, but it still needs more power. Follow the red wire back into the mine, passing through a large room filled with Nazis.
  • Having the Wehrmacht disguise will make things easier, but you can still sneak through without it. Continue following the red wire into another room, and after some walking, you will reach the power switch. Flip it and take a photo of the mural before leaving. There’s also a lockbox you can break open, which contains 100 Lira.

Next, swing across and climb up to the third level of the scaffolding. Here, you will find the Radiogram Transcript note and some Lira. Finally, open the door and return to the elevator to power it up and head into the Secret tomb of the Queen Mother.
