As players progress in StarRupture, the amount of available inventory space will quickly decline as they continue to mine and produce items in factories. In this guide, we have outlined how to unlock, create, and enhance Personal Storage containers. From early stage access to maximum storage capacities, reading this article will allow you to manage your available resources efficiently and keep your base operating without needing to manage inventory limits.
Overview: Inventory Storage in StarRupture

One of the greatest challenges in StarRupture is the difficulty of managing your inventory due to how quickly your backpack fills with mined resources and looted items. Luckily, there is the ability to store excess inventory using the Personal Storage Container feature, which helps you store raw materials in an economical way and will be able to grow along with you as you progress through the game.
The Personal Storage container has 18 slots, with an expanded version of 42 slots available later in the game. You can unlock storage using the Corporate Terminal (which you build using the B tool). Additionally, you can stack containers on top of each other to create unlimited storage space—no Game Pass is necessary.
How to Unlock Personal Storage & Containers

Before accessing your Personal Storage, you must construct a Corporate Terminal and finish your Habitat tutorial. From there, you’ll want to work on advancing to Clever Robotics Level 2.
You’ll earn progress from completing deliveries via the Orbital Cargo Launcher. Delivering items like titanium rods will help improve your corporation’s level. After reaching level 2, go back to the Corporate Terminal and claim your reward to unlock Personal Storage.

Once you have opened the Building Menu using the key B, go to the Personal Storage section. You will find that you have the option of placing containers on the floor or mounting them onto walls, depending on the layout of your base.
You will be able to access each container’s 18 inventory slots by interacting with the storage using the F key and then use the Take All function to quickly transfer all items. You may also rename containers to make it easier to organize materials and label specific categories such as ores.

After you reach Clever Robotics Level 9 you will be able to use Large Personal Storage. This is an upgraded version of the original storage which allows you to store more items (42 slots per container), however, you will still use the same mechanics for both placing and interacting with these larger containers.
Once unlocked, Personal Storage containers can be stacked repeatedly, giving you near-infinite storage potential. Unlocking them at Clever Robotics Level 2 sets the foundation, while the Level 9 upgrade greatly improves efficiency as your factory expands. That’s everything you need to know to manage storage effectively in Star Rupture.
