Late in Crimson Desert, big payoffs show up fast – the A.T.A.G mech stands out as a top-tier ride, heavy on power and thrills. Reaching the High Mobility model? That path demands patience, long stretches of play, and moving far past early stages without rushing.

Getting Started With Your First A.T.A.G

Chapter 10 marks your first encounter with the mech through a story mission – this is when A.T.A.G shows up. Owning it yourself doesn’t happen right away, though.

This occurs during Chapter 11, opening the “New Designs” mission through the Ironflame Orcs menu. Finish it, a reward follows – the plan for the Small Kuku A.T.A.G, the first mech you can build yourself.

You’ll need to craft it at the Mysterious Iron Pot Workshop in Hernand with these materials:

  • 1x Kuku Pot
  • 1x Abyss Cell
  • 5x Cogwheel
  • 5x Small Battery

Most of the gears show up after fights. When Abyss foes fall, they leave behind Abyss Cells. Robotic types and pirate crews in Deleysia? Those give Small Batteries – pretty much the top pick. Cogwheels tend to appear far more often from most types of enemies.

After making the Small Kuku A.T.A.G and showing it to Marek in the quest, the regular A.T.A.G plan becomes available – tougher than before.

High Mobility ATAG Revealed

Only after tackling tougher challenges does the High Mobility A.T.A.G become available.

To unlock this, the Sanctum of Exaltation in Pailune needs to be cleansed first. The area won’t be easily accessible as it is related to the questline from the Witch of Kindness. Tracking her down and completing her objectives are necessary before the approach.

After clearing the Sanctum, Blueprint II: High Mobility A.T.A.G. appears as a reward.

Crafting High Mobility ATAG

With the blueprint, return to the Mysterious Iron Pot Workshop. Crafting this item can be challenging since it requires both high-volume materials and high-quality materials.

  • 1x Small Kuku A.T.A.G
  • 400x Small Battery
  • 200x Cogwheel
  • 2x Power Core – Crown of Shadows
  • 1x Core of Temperance

Here is how to get them:

Batteries appear when you beat robot foes or pirates, so hunting near Deleysia works better than most spots—getting cogwheels? Just fight almost anyone – these bits show up often enough.

When you face enemies from the Abyss, they drop Power Core – Crown of Shadows. But the fights will be harder as the enemies are formidable, yet the rewards make it worthwhile.

Solving puzzles inside the Sanctum of Temperance gives the Core of Temperance.
