The A Needle in a Haystack quest officially begins after the cutscene in the Zalissya bar. In ‘Behind Seven Seals,’ your main objective is to gather information on Solder. To find information on Solder, start by speaking with Warlock the bartender. When prompted, you can choose to ask either Cpt. Zotov or Gaffer about Solder, with your choice affecting the story’s direction and leading to one of four possible endings. If you side with Gaffer, you will begin a new mission, A Needle in a Haystack, leading you to the Sphere to uncover more about Solder and find the Whirlwind Artifact.

Behind Seven Seals Mission in Stalker 2

The IPSF has been mapping anomalies at the Sphere, a compound near Zalissya. You could try attacking the Sphere directly, but it’s well-guarded. To sneak into the Sphere, you will need an artifact from an area called the Ribs. It is located southeast of Zalissya, down a road that branches off the main street heading south. The Ribs is a dangerous place, though, so use your Echo Detector to avoid the Anomalies blocking the entrance. Equip your Echo Detector and Bolt before entering.

How to Get the Artifact Whirlwind Vortex Anomaly

Whirlwinds can only be found in gravitational anomalies. To get the Whirlwind artifact, first, save your game a little further back from the anomaly field. This way, the artifact will change each time you approach it. Simply enter the field. Once inside, look to the left of the entrance for a hidden artifact. It’s located between a fern and a gravitational Anomaly. If it is not a Whirlwind, reload and try again. You can repeat this process several times. Also, use bolts to help you safely navigate through the anomalies.
