What are Forgotten Souls

Forgotten Souls are special items in Diablo 4 that you need to make your gear stronger. They’re used to improve the powers of your weapons and armor. The more Forgotten Souls you have, the better you can make your gear. If you don’t have enough, it will be harder to level up your character.

How to Get Forgotten Souls

To get more Forgotten Souls in Diablo 4, you should play in Helltides and use special items called Vessels of Hatred. This will help you find more of them.

Helltide Events

To get more Forgotten Souls quickly, try defeating the Blood Maiden during Helltides and opening the smaller Tortured Gifts. The Blood Maiden can drop a lot of Souls, especially if you give her a special item called a Baneful Heart. And the smaller Tortured Gifts are a better way to get Souls because they give you the same amount as the bigger ones but cost less.

Dark Citadel Raid

The Dark Citadel is a difficult raid where many players work together to fight monsters. It’s only for people who have bought the Vessel of Hatred expansion. You can get a lot of Forgotten Souls there, but it takes a long time and needs a lot of teamwork. So it’s not the best way to get Souls if you’re playing alone.

Inferno Hordes

You can also find Forgotten Souls in a special chest called the Spoils of Materials, which appears during Infernal Hordes. But it usually takes longer to find these chests, so it’s not the best way to get a lot of Souls quickly.

Developer Note: We’ve heard feedback that Forgotten Souls have been incredibly hard to obtain compared to other materials in-game. We agree. They were a bit too forgotten. We have increased these drops across the whole game.
