In Grounded 2, Bombardier Beetle Parts and Boiling Glands need to be acquired in creating gears that have sizzling resistance. In the same manner, how players must craft gas-resistant gear in order to survive toxic zones like the Trash Can, sizzling-resistant armor is also needed in order to survive scorching heat zones like the Fire Pit or even fighting specific heat-related enemies—Bombardier Beetles are one of them.
This guide explains where Bombardier Beetles are located, how to kill them, and how to farm the components needed to make critical fire-resistant equipment early in the game.
What Are Bombardier Beetles?

Bombardier Beetles are a medium-sized, vicious bug with a distinctive green, armored exoskeleton. They are also well-known for their acid spit attack, which applies the sizzling ailment—a dangerous condition that slowly drains your life if you’re in their space of effect. While not as large or difficult as boss monsters, Bombardier Beetles still need to be handled cautiously and in preparation.
Killing a Bombardier Beetle rewards you with Bombardier Parts, and has an added chance to drop a Boiling Gland, both of which are the materials needed to craft sizzling-resistant gear like the Sizzling Robes set.
Where to Find Bombardier Beetles
Bombardier Beetles are located in a number of places in Brookhollow Park, but two reliable and fairly safe early-game locations near your likely start point, the Ranger Outpost, are:
1. Stone Path Southeast of the Ranger Outpost
Southeast of the Snackbar outpost, there is a rocky path along the boundary between Entrance and Ice Cream Cart. There is normally a Bombardier Beetle wandering about here, so it’s an early easy target.
2. Table North of Snackbar Front
Proceed north of the front of the Snackbar where there is a plastic picnic table. Go up via the plastic cutlery that is placed under the table legs. A Bombardier Beetle is normally seen patrolling the upper surface.
Both beetles are easy to identify due to their green color and the fact that they are quite small. They will, however, become violent when you approach them, so be ready for battle. Once you have beaten them up, harvest the beetle’s body and collect Bombardier Parts and perhaps a Boiling Gland.
What Can You Craft with Bombardier Parts and Boiling Glands
Main uses of the materials are in crafting sizzling-resistant armor, the Sizzling Robes set being one example. It is especially important in going into high-ambient-heat terrain or to face off against enemies that use burning or sizzling status effects.
Some tool and base upgrades also utilize Boiling Glands as a mid-game resource, thus making them all-rounded worthwhile mid-game items.
