The Mesa update in Peak converts the world into a scorching, desert-baked ordeal in which survival is every bit as much about skill as stamina. Every badge earned here is a testament to your expertise at the risks of Mesa—whether withstanding blistering heat, defying gravity, or outrunning the desert’s most lethal predators. This guide documents each new badge that was added in the update, as well as concise instructions on how to earn them.

New Badges in PEAK Mesa Update

24 Karot Badge – The Golden Sacrifice

To earn this rare badge, you’ll need to throw the Golden Idol from the Tomb into the lava. Unfortunately, due to a current glitch, this action isn’t possible at the moment, so completion will have to wait until a patch fixes the issue.

Aeronautics Badge – Taking to the Skies

This requires six tied balloons with you to soar. The balloons are in suitcases that are available throughout the map. Tied to those, just let the wind catch you so you can experience that lovely bird’s eye view.

Astronomy Badge – Staring at the Sun

This badge is received for viewing the sun directly using binoculars in the Mesa. Binoculars can be purchased at the beginning, so it’s one of the simpler badges that can be obtained early.

Cool Cucumber Badge – Heat Management Mastery

Get to the Mesa Campfire without raising your heat level more than 10 percent. Best done through nighttime travel, sunscreen, or in-shade travel during the day. Scheduling will have to be carefully done here.

Daredevil Badge – Cannon Chaos

Using the Scout Cannon, located in the luggage, knock another player off throughout the Mesa. Timing and aim are everything—both for them and you.

Megaentomology Badge – Survival of the Antlion

On the quicksand soil that the Antlion lives, set up a rope first. Jump in, get bitten by the Antlion once, then climb quickly up the rope to safety. Winning the battle will earn the badge.

Needlepoint Badge – A Stinging Experience

Get five small cacti and make them stick, then remove all of them to earn the badge. Sounds simple, but be careful of your health in the process.

Nomad Badge – The Mesa Summit

Complete the first ascent to the peak of the Mesa and arrive at the campfire. This is a milestone badge but not a difficult one, registering your triumphant climb instead of a difficult activity.

When your hunger is below 60 percent, set an unconscious player to feed in order to achieve this badge. It’s one of the update’s darker challenges, but living on the Mesa needs to be your priority.

Ultimate Badge – The Frisbee Feat

Pull the frisbee back from the position of start and continue along to the Shore. Throw it out flat and level, and then go and get it. This can be done single-handedly, without a second.
