How To Get Abyssal Dragon Armor – Crimson Desert

Only after the world starts breaking at its edges does the Abyssal Dragon Armor appear. This upgrade reshapes Blackstar completely, turning it into something hulking, metallic, more machine than creature. Early runs won’t see it – patience is non-negotiable here. Completion of a hidden path involving the Witches locks the deal.

Here’s how the whole process works.

Begin the Abyssal Dragon Armor Journey

Once Chapter 11 hits, Blackstar unlocks. That is when the Witch quest appears. It shows up in your Journal. Look under Hernand’s faction tasks—Flight: Wings of Iron.

Skipping all of the extra tasks won’t block your path, yet each one adds pieces to the picture. What really matters? Moving deep enough into the main events until this moment unlocks on its own.

Finding what the goal means starts with looking past “deciphering records studied by the Witches,” since that part actually points toward making certain items, not cracking an old-style code.

Make the Small Kuku ATAG

First comes the Small Kuku A.T.A.G – build that before touching armor plans. It runs everything, fits at the center, and holds the system together without fuss.

Near the furnace in Kilnden Workshop in Hernand, find Grimnir waiting. If the blueprint is still missing, go back to Marek in the northwest part of Delesyia to pick up the design.

To craft the Small Kuku A.T.A.G, you’ll need:

  • 1x Kuku Pot
  • 3x Abyss Cell
  • 5x Cogwheel
  • 5x Small Battery

A handful of these resources show up after taking down machine-like foes across Delesyia. Creatures touched by corruption tend to vanish into their surroundings, yet they leave behind telltale signs – look for pulsing orbs tied to stone or plant life.

One way to get a Kuku Pot is by sending out teams from Kilnden Workshop. These trips need supplies – weapons show up alongside rock, wood, grain, and cash.

Gather Rare Materials

A single Small Kuku A.T.A.G isn’t enough. Another batch of rare ingredients comes next. These parts aren’t easy to find.

Bring these items back to Grimnir:

  • 1x Small Kuku A.T.A.G
  • 1x Core: Ore of Resipiscence
  • 1x Golden Star’s Component
  • 1x Aeserion’s Scale

Found deep in Pywel, the Core: Ore of Resipiscence comes from fallen Abyss foes – beings built like rock, moving slowly, shaped like crabs or hulking golems.

Once you beat the Golden Star boss near the end of Chapter 11, the component comes without extra steps. If you’ve moved forward in the story, chances are it’s already in your inventory.

Aeserion’s Scale is found late into the game, at the Serpent Shrine, so it is one of the last materials that you’ll collect.

Craft the Abyssal Dragon Armor

Once everything is gathered, head to the Kilnden Workshop to make the Abyssal Dragon Armor.

Beware – the Small Kuku A.T.A.G will be consumed in the process, meaning anything tucked within gets lost too. Before moving forward, double-check its contents are expendable.

Upgrade Blackstar

After crafting the armor, go back to the “Flight: Wings of Iron” quest before moving toward the Nest of Valor – a lone Abyss island hanging over the desert sands.

A flash plays as the suit locks onto Blackstar, shifting how it looks and what it can do. After this moment, your partner moves forward clad in full protection, ready to carry you through what comes next.
