The Blight In The Singing Blade Quest
In the middle of the Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s Singing Blade quest, you’ll encounter a bridge blocked by a massive wall of Blight. Up until this point, Blight walls usually pulse red, signaling that they’re weakened and can be destroyed. This particular wall, however, presents a slightly different challenge, it doesn’t seem to have an obvious way to destroy it. But don’t worry, it’s not as complicated as it looks. The key is to power it up first, which will make it turn red and breakable.
How to Destroy The Blight In The Singing Blade Quest
Head up to the bridge and use a long-range attack to hit the glowing red Blight on the wall to the left of the blockade. If you’re playing as a Mage in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, most of your standard ranged spells from your staff should work fine. If you’re using a dagger and orb setup, try switching to your staff for this part.
Cross the bridge and stand in front of the blockade. Pick up the Power Crystal on your right, and watch as the bridge behind you disappears. Then turn around and look at the gap where the bridge used to be. You’ll spot another red Blight spot underneath, which wasn’t visible until the bridge disappeared. Shoot it to power it up, and the Blight blocking the path will light up red. Now you can destroy it the usual way, like with a magic attack, and proceed into the next area.
Enter the next room and you’ll find a gate blocking the way forward. This is another door puzzle, with an empty Power Crystal slot in front of the gate. Take the Power Crystal you used earlier to remove the bridge and place it into the empty slot. This will open the gate.
